  1. We have a lot of Wum's in our fanbase if that were the case. Still cant get my head around there being people on here who couldnt understand why any of us had wanted to lose recently. Even when its explained over & over & over.
  2. Jayson

    Sunderland

I expect they'll beat Norwich, Crystal palace in their current form might be a harder game than they anticipated. Especially if they win today & get overly confident.
  3. That's a key issue for me. I suspect that Sterling, at this point in his career, would sink without trace in that situation. In international football, and particularly a World Cup, players that might be shining for their clubs get taken right out of their comfort zone. They're playing with unfamiliar players, perhaps not in their ideal role, against a team that is at least equal or even better than their own (unlike the usual case with their club), against tough opponents and under a very harsh spotlight. Some players can deal with that and impose themselves, others struggle. AOC, Barkley, and Wilshere I think would rise to the occasion. Sterling - I doubt. Not at this stage. Sterling has scored 4 goals against Man City, Arsenal & Spurs this season tbf, he has stepped up specifically in big games. Plus surely in terms of playing with familiar players he's better suited to England? I'd always give a chance to the young lad full of confidence. Youthful enthusiasm can do wonders as we've seen before.
  4. I'm not saying it's easy to do. I think it's bang out of order to say you're doing it the right way though and those who turn up are wrong, especially if they show support to the team and don't chant against the regime. Eh? Hows that out of order? If they support this current side without making any noise against the current regime they are supporting it by taking pressure off it.
  5. Im not suggesting they're being vocal about it. Just what im seeing around, not everyones at the same stage but most arent Pardew fans anymore. Frustrations a matter of time.
  6. Nah, if they were truly apathetic they wouldnt be going to the matches. It just takes different amounts of time for it to click for people, most are coming around now.
  7. He doesn't He hasnt decked wenger in the tunnel yet
  8. If you dont have a few drinks before Subways they hit you much harder, get into your system really quick. He might still be recovering.
  9. If Pardew didnt have a touchline ban we'd do these 4 or 5 nil.
  10. "They've only had 2 shots on target the whole game, we wos nervous"
  11. Theres a Tony Pulis discussion going on in a match thread Thats where we're at.
  12. Because he's an excellent manager. Excellent is pushing it IMO. He's good at that level. But I'm loathe to praise the football he plays Reminds me a bit of Curbishley. Very capable of establishing a team mid-table but the football his teams tend to play is dire. 8th best form in the league since he joined them, superb with the side he has. They looked a certainly to finish last at one point let alone relegation.
  13. Imagine their confidence/belief if they win the league, be good to get that into the England side.
