We're fucked now btw, our record from behind is absolutely shocking let alone against Man City.

Why did we swap wingers? Sissoko may have covered that.

Have Gouf & Sissoko swapped wings?

Doing nicely down that right side again.

Lovely break from Yanga

he f***ing didn't, did he? Tbf to him it reads worse out of context. He was discussing what you could call a weakness for them & stating that he'd look to counter it by getting a fullback to attack. -

Interesting that he says the best thing to do is not to look after them but just play how we can play. Then again u can see his English isnt at its strongest yet, that might explain early form for a lot of players. -

Lets hope Saylor realises his future at the club is at genuine risk & reaches another level of performance, or his best at the very least. -
Just to play DA, even without Ashley we've not been a club to have one class manager after another like. Plus you just dont know, most managers will have their own list of annoyances for fans. Pards is being overly cautious & more focus on the defensive side of things. If AVB had arrived on the scene now rather than previously we'd all jump to take him over Pards, we can see now that he'd have just come with his own array of faults.

Think you have to doubt Williamson would be getting classed as "Experienced pro" under many managers. You cant take all credit from Pardew, he has previously raised performances from weaker players.
-
The silly thing about it is Pardew himself is the one showing the players are capable of more. The entire reason people get on his case, is because he has had all the things we criticise him for working well enough at some point for comparison. People are always going to berate 2nd halves when they contrast so strongly to how he has us playing in the 1st. Same with Ben Arfa a couple seasons ago, same with us beating top sides & then holding on against the weaker ones. He creates the negative contrast himself, his mentality holds back what he himself has shown is possible.

He is actually suggesting we might let Shola go there right? I see it written in words.

Ian Tunstead 141 Posted 25/11/2013 at 11:57:11 I think Martinez is a young fresh-faced talented manager, full of ambition and enthusiasm with a lot of hope for the future. I bet he counts his lucky stars every night that he has been given another chance in the PL after being relegated with Wigan. But I think, after 10 years in the game, in the cold light of day after struggling with no money, when all his dreams have come crashing down when he finally accepts the reality of the situation, that money is king, we will see an aged Martinez, almost a reflection of the Moyes we have seen over the last few seasons. He will be broken like ever other manager who has had to fight against the odds against the farce that is the PL. Drew O'Neall 180 Posted 25/11/2013 at 14:33:10 All fans find a way to moan

Yeah that just makes him look a bit dim really

Mourinho's claimed Lukaku was the one wanting to spend a season away anyway, not that he wanted to let him go. Its all a bit odd from interviews ive read, doubt he'll go back now.

please stop long ball, please give it to benny

I just love the conclusion of it. Newcastle, great form, keep winning, more or less matched Arsenal. West brom, no wins in 9, managerless. West Brom win by two and keep a clean sheet.

Difficult for managers anyway isnt it. Realistically all of us want to believe our players are just class, not that the manager is raising their game. If they play poorly, often its the managers fault & if they play well the manager has stopped holding them back. People will always want to believe the current players are capable of more (unless at Debuchy levels), so as a club we can move to the next level. Its harder to praise someone for the level they have the players playing at, when you wont/cant discern how close they are to their best. Brazilliamson is at his you'd imagine. Same with style of play. Though thats more apparent when a side is really dominating before half time & then comes out to sit back. Its clearer then when we could get more as fans. A lot clearer than the benefits he may be bringing anyway.
