Interesting observation after no games. 46 last season tell you everything you need to know.

Muntari is just fucking shit though.

I'm gonna reserve judgement on the 'R' word until after the window, but the way we stand I think we're going down like.

He's nowhere near world class, but more than good enough for a mid-table Prem side. Would be an excellent signing tbh. Jones is more the level of a good Championship side. How often have you watched him? He's got terrible composure infront of goal and a poor footballing brain. Just because he scored a couple of pens at the WC doesn't make him a world beater. Would get about 7/8 a season in the Prem at the very most. Probably about 10-11-ish times last season, I keep up with Rennes 'cause Tettey is there. And I'm in no way judging him by WC form. Okay. I never rated him in Italy and the few times I've seen him since he left Udinese I've not seen too much improvement in his game. Think he'd be pretty gash in the Prem imo.

Surely you can see the reasoning behind him kicking up a fuss.

Don't suppose anybody saw NUFCblog's recent nugget of wisdom. Somebody needs to shut that embarresment of a site down. I feel as though I'm losing braincells just reading it tbh.

Gyan is not as good as his World Cup form suggests. He's no better than Jones. Different type of player though.

No, I'm not letting it slip into the past pages, I want to know why Taylor thinks this is all down to Ben Arfa I'm genuinely dumbfounded and purplexed. Taylor you utter mentalist. Explain yourself.

What an absolute pile of bollocks

I don't think Mascherano has anywhere near the footballing ability to play for Barca like, think he'll stick out like a sore thumb and will end up playing second fiddle to Busquets.

I'm not saying De Rossi is of the same level of Scott Brown, he's obviously a lot more talented. They remind me of each other though, both total knuckleheads on the pitch and off it and both have overinflated transfer fees placed on their heads. If De Rossi is Roma's future captain, I worry for them.
-
Not the greateset deal of competition tbh. De Rossi and a few old men at Milan. I think you're underselling Serie A. De Rossi is Italy's version of Scott Brown though imo, I even rate Palombo higher than him.

That whole period man, we used to play good football, and I actually looked forward to the derby games. I remember we spanked Boro 4-1 at their place once. Such a great team, I watch the last 16 of the CL and then remind myself just 7 years ago we were at the equivalent stage. It's actually quite hard to consider, and very depressing.

Cambiasso has been the best midfielder in Serie A for 5 years solid. Straight up beast defensively but offers a hell of a lot going forward aswell. Best free transfer in history and the best 'DM' in the world, imo. I don't count Essien as a DM, btw.

Check his edit.

I think Coutinho or Biabiany will step into Balotelli's place this season. They're probably not as talented, but their attitudes are much better. Balotelli was just a squad player last season after all. Coutinho looks a really good player and his attitude is very un-Brazilian like. Seems focused on his football rather than other distractions

Esteban Cambiasso says hi.

Wonder if it will be re-invested immediately or pocketed...

Dave just hates defensive midfielders, that's all.
-
My guess is that in injury will keep him out of training tomorrow. 'Injury' so to speak.
-
Yeah, that's my biggest intrigue. He rejected any talk after the Norway game, but after todays events I'm interested to see what his next move is.
-
I think the complete opposite, it's just about to get interesting. You reckon? I guess this Dassier fellah just seems to regular spout stuff on a whim, whether it has any morsel of truth in it or not. I think tomorrow more will come out definitely, and the severity of Ben Arfa's 'strike' so to speak will become clearer. I just can't see us stumping up the cash, which imo is stupid. The fee that would need to be paid is not a lot in the current market for what is clearly a very talented player. I've got a feeling he'll go somewhere because it appears bridges are burned both with Deschamps and the Board, I just have big doubts we'll follow up our interest any more.
