This whole saga is fucking ridiculous tbh
-
He has to be bluffing surely? No contact made? Come on man, there has to have been, surely?!
-
Well this if fucking great isn't it.
-
Marcelo and Drenthe are both poor defenders and Arbeloa is a natural RB. The fact they haven't bought a LB of quality is typical of Madrid/Perez.
-
He hasn't scored a Prem goal in over 2 years, is coming off the back of a serious injury, is very likely to not be matchfit considering he's currently unnattached, is now 30 years old and is seemingly in talks with Huddersfield. He was gash beforehand, but in his current state he'd be useless. I'd much rather have Lovenkrands playing tbh.
-
Despite his goals he looked really shit last season. He'll do nothing in the Premier League, and it was you who was calling up Lovenkrands for not being Prem quality (I agree)... yet you'd be happy with Harewood back? Come on man, we'd be asking for relegation.
-
Harewood is dogshit. Aye, and Best is Cow s*** (Is that a lower grade of s***?) I don't know, but they're definitely both really terrible. Losing Best to injury and replacing him with 30 year old Marlon Harewood, in the Premier League. Man I think that would be the final straw

Slight flaw in that one mate! -
Said that he won't shave it until we win our first game of the season He'll look like Friedrich Nietzsche by the time he can get rid of it then...
-
I think he definitely wants to come here like, I can just see Marseille putting the stoppers on it and making him stay.

You tell me? What deal was that? End of last season Hughton saying we had an 'advantage' over everybody else knowing what our future was meaning we could prepare early for bringing people in. Yet we're now seemingly behind in terms of recruitment... We've brought in three players, if Ben Arfa signed tomorrow would you still say we were behind? If... I'd still say we'd be behind in terms of improving the team. The way it stands we've only got 1 new player who is fit and ready to go and he's seemingly very average. We're no further forward from last season and the way we stand we're going to really struggle. I'm not panicking about it because ultimately there is nothing we can do, but that doesn't mean I can't point the blame at the management for failing to strengthen at all before the first game. Behind who then? What Ben Arfa can offer has been our biggest weakness by a country mile for ages now, he could potentially improve us hugely. Also campbell will be fit 2nd or third game, and he'll improve the defence a hell of a lot IMO. Of course if Ben Arfa comes I'll be a lot more optimistic, but that's still very much up in the air atm. Campbell I have mixed faith in tbh, but if he does come good then credit to Hughton. I still think overrall this has been pretty underwhelming, better than I expected orginally like, but nowhere near enough that's actually required.

I agree with neesy like. We've left things far too late, what was the deal with hughton getting things done early?

It says week commencing on that Monday, so it will be anyday that week depending on fixtures/TV. -
Still think Di Maria was a massive waste of cash.
-
I guess we've just got to hope he's pissed off enough to force this move through.
-
Apparently they've been outbid by Huddersfield for him I'll fucking fume if we bring Harewood back.
-
Carvalho is a very good player if he can stay fit. That has been a massive question the last few seasons though. Interesting how Chelsea go about replacing him. They've lost quite a few of their older players this close season. Always been a great fan of Carvalho. If he stays fit he'll do a good job for them, only short term but it will work. You'll grow to loathe him. He is the absolute master of the sly foul. Couldn't think of a defender more suited to the Spanish game. Surely he'd be more suited to Serie A?

London team away as I am in London that week. Selfishness ftw -
Blackpool are screwed. Ormerod is their only available striker who's scored more than 1 goal for the club
