Keita scores again for Barca, they finally break down a stubborn Osasuna team.

They haven't signed a player in like 2 years.

Collymore wants new PL where we're guaranteed a place

Aye read this the other day, what a load of s*** Seems they've removed one of the comments that was decent: -
Zamora works hard, he's just the kind of player you'd be horrified to see your club spend money on. Why Hull bidded £5 million for him is beyond me.

A bit strong I'd say, considering the fact they've won 7 and drawn 1 of their 8 league games this season. However, I do agree to an extent, it's not the same high paced massacres we saw at times last season. That's the difference with when they had Eto'o, he would apply pressure on the defenders and would run all day forcing errors and opening space for the rest of the team to tear the opposition apart. He effectively played as a 'defensive striker' alot of the time, as ridiculous as that sounds. With Ibra there it's a bit different, he doesn't do that same work as Eto'o so they've changed their style. A bit of a slower pace with the passing because it's easier for teams to block the gaps without having to mark a hyperactive Eto'o all game, this means at times they don't look as exciting but ultimately the same results are being achieved either by going direct towards Ibra or breaking the opposition down more patiently. This is just an observation on my part from the few times I've seen Barca this season, I would like to see Village Idiot's opinions on the tactical change.

Almeria did the other week. I've never seen a better man marking performance than that of one of Almeria's players against Xavi, just followed him for the whole 90 minutes. The whole ream were very organised and ran all day, closing them down at every occasion, attempting to score on the break and only lost 1-0.

Love tuning in for a Barca match when they're at home to some average team. You just know it's gonna be a fun watch as they tear them apart.

That was an 'angry' free kick from Ibra. Nearly took the keeper's hands off.

Just watched the highlights of the Sampdoria game, they play some great stuff.

Newcastle United 2-1 Doncaster Rovers - 24/10/09 - post match reaction from p20

Harewood is a terrible, terrible player. Has been rubbish in every game so far, and he had me so frustrated during the game today. However, anybody booing him off should be ashamed, what the hell does booing the guy off achieve? Really downright disgusting booing your own players like that , and he looked distraught about it walking off. -
By scoring 5 in a 10-2 aggregate rout of Gent, and then another 5 in a 10-3 rout of some Slovenian team.

Vuckic will only get experience when he plays, same goes for LuaLua. If these players aren't up to this division then then we've wasted a lot of effort for nothing. I do worry about the reaction of some of our fans when things aren't going too well but most people are supportive when it's a kid just starting out. I suppose, but you've got to remember the lad's only 17. He'll get playing time eventually. Maybe playing him in the team on Saturday wouldn't be such a bad thing, a home game against a team, like has been mentioned, that wouldn't destroy him. He'd have to be the only one though, a team of experienced (urgh I hate that word) players around him would be the best to bring out his talent. The main problem at Peterborough was the ratio of youngsters to first teamers was to high to help them, and it was a mess. The fans were the worst thing about that gamethough , I was so utterly frustrated at the simple mistakes on show but I tried to stay as supportive to the players as possible. Lots of fans were just calling them worse than shite, thick as fuck sometimes like. -

Kids looked miles out of their dept against Peterborough, seriously one of the most frustrating games I've ever watched in my life. Their confidence was 0 to start with and was in the minus by the end, endless stray passes, misjudging the game and generally looking lost throughout. Vuckic in paticular looked nervous as owt, there were a couple of times he tried something clever like a back heel or an incisive pass but when it didn't come off our fans just scalded him and he gradually shrank into a shell. I was a massive advocate for playing youngsters up until that game, now I'd think it'd be best to maybe introduce them very slowly. They may very well have potential, but we have too much to risk playing them now. -
Love it for Milan to win this, Madrid fans were pretty cocky going into it.

Simpson was entirely at fault for the goal we conceded against Forest. I'd rather have Khiz alongside Coloccini if I'm honest, but like you say, they're both shit. -

Not a better CB, looks like an accident waiting to happen there. Harper Simpson Khiz Coloccini Enrique Raylor Smith Nolan Jonas Ranger Lovenkrands -
He's total horse s*** like, really frustrating for a professional footballer to basically not have a first touch. He literally doesn't have any 'footballing' ability. That said, saying he's the sole reason for the last few games' poor performances is just making a link that isn't there.
-
Atleast that'll mean they have McCarthy for the finals.
-
Who is he, how did he end up over there?
-
I'm pretty sure you have to pick 3 keepers, I mentioned on another forum why no team ever risks just taking two and apparently there has to be 3 keepers.

Finnish commentator said he couldnt be offside. He hasnt been fast enough to be offside since the 90's To be fair, he still has more creativity in his little toe than the entire current Newcastle squad. Any talk of him retiring? Surely he hasn't got much longer left.
-
That ending was fucking incredible!

Kaspar will be one happy little penguin then. Yep. Went to the game and Baxter finally started some youngsters and they did very well. Our national team has been one of the oldest in Europe recently so some change was much needed. Bellamy got his fair share of abuse Did Litmanen play?
