Villa's a great place for any promising young English players to play. Happy Delph has gone there rather than Man City, where I get the impression lack of chances would of stunted his development.

Romário and Ronaldo were a class partnership as well when they briefly played together. Yep, I'm sure it was a Confederations Cup final when they both hit a hattrick each in a 6-0 win or something.

Stoitchkov wasn't an out and out striker though, he was a winger/second striker.

On second thoughts I would put Barnes onto my bench and put Stoitchkov on the right wing instead.

Nope, arrived the season after Koeman left. He missed him narrowly at Barca aswell.

Tickets arrived yesterday, been pretty excited since then despite the s*** situation. I'll go for a 0-2 win, ignoring all the negativity surrounding the club. Shola and Jonas with the goals. -
Gerrard is world class. <Soz like> I understand why you'd not include him due to lack of International success, but does that mean the likes of Essien and Drogba should be disregarded here? Or what about the likes of Best, Cantona, Di Stefano, Litmanen, Weah, Giggs who never even played at a World Cup, should they be disregarded in laying claim to World Class status? Now I know the majority of them played for inferior teams than England, but Englands failings as a whole can be put to blame for lack of international pedigree. Drogba is worshipped like a god in the Ivory Coast, he's brilliant at international level. Colo's SAC didn't neccessarily mean success as in silverwear Isn't he worshipped like a god, because he's an absolutely amazing player playing for a nation that doesn't exactly have a massive history of producing world class players? Scoring goals against Burundi, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Benin, Libya etc when you're the main focal point of a team's attack doesn't really go alot to proving whether you're a top quality international player? Not that I'm saying Drogba isn't, but purely for arguments sake.

Bad crack, guess this place is a bit more Nazi than other forums.

Okay posting a Youtube video doesn't exactly prove anything, and I can't f***ing stand Gerrard. I've heard Liverpool fan declare him as one of the best players ever, which is ridiculous, but there is no doubt he is World Class in my opinion.

World class is a bit of a loose term tbh, how can it be categorically defined? If I was to list World Class players I'd put players who are on another level to everybody else at this moment, although again that's hard to say exactly. Messi Ronaldo Kaka Gerrard Xavi Iniesta Ibrahimovic Essien Casillas Ribery Villa Torres Just outside this top bracket I'd place the following: Julio Cesar, Maicon, D.Alves, Robinho, Vidic, Ferdinand, Lampard, Alonso, Rooney, De Rossi, Robben, Pirlo, Terry, Cech, Ramos, Fabregas, Buffon. Ronaldinho used to be my favourite player, but it proves how much his stock has fallen over the last 2 seasons that I wouldn't include him in either of these categories. Just realised I haven't managed to include a single LB in the list, just shows there is no real standout player in that position, and hasn't been since Maldini tbh. Ibrahimovic may seem a controversial selection ahead of that second class, but that just proves how underrated he is in England. Cannot wait to see him prove his class for Barca this season.

This shit better go down tomorrow.

Why is it England players appear to have zero technical ability. Ukraine scored 2 lovely goals while England can't string a few passes together. Mind the ref hasn't helped, ridiculously stop-start game. -
Respect to Shelvey.

Bump it up to £12 million, throw in Dos Santos, Bostock and Boateng on loan and it's a deal. -
My knowledge of players in this league is much worse than I thought. I also added Beye and Gutierrez in hope that they stay, however that could backfire as apparently there isn't a transfer option. Carson Beye Tunchev Pogatetz Gunter Gutierrez Bodde Sumilkowski Ledley Ameobi Chopra I have no idea who Sumilkowski is btw, but he sounded foreign and that might mean he's good
