  1. Why on earth would anybody have wanted him to stay.
  2. what do normal humans do on weekends?
  3. Love the arrogance thinking we were annoyed because he didn't sign a new contract. Fans hate him because of his performances, effort, application and goal return as a 100k a week captain centre forward while the club was relegated, and the scant disregard he had for the club as it slipped towards impending doom. Not because he inevitably didn't stay. The stupid fucking cunt.
  4. Agreed. This is what the qualifiers are for, you'd think they were getting a bye into the tournament the way they go on. As if two fixtures against a minnow every 2 years is such a chore for the millionaires
  5. He can only play 20 minutes at a time. So it's actually closer to 1 in 10 You can't argue with stats. 1 in 3.
  6. His career minutes per goal is 274. That's 1 in 3 1 in 3 strikers not to be sniffed at boys. 5 year deal.
  7. They've been doing it for years IIRC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebasti%C3%A1n_Soria http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%A1bio_C%C3%A9sar_Montezine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Quaye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcone_Amaral_Costa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerson_Sheik They also tried to pay a Kenyan to do it, obviously he has more self-respect than some of the long-distance runners: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Oliech
  8. OK Lloyd Doyley was just warming up there. Ridiculous
  9. Ridiculous the players that end up playing for Caribbean sides. Just put the Jamaica game on and Jermaine Beckford is playing. Reminds me of that time Tyrone Mears got a cap because he just assumed his dad was from Jamaica without bothering to check and it turned out he was from Sierra Leone.
  10. Messi been involved (scoring or assisting) 57 goals in 78 caps for Argentina. Not bad considering how totally shit he is for them.
  11. Another ridiculous assist from Messi to set up Higuain's 2nd. Looked offside like.
  12. Messi through them like a knife through butter then a handball for a pen. Steps up and hammers it in, 2-0.
  13. That block from Rincon on Messi was brutal. Unnecessary.
  14. 1-0, Higi. That first time pass from Messi was brill, so sharp.
  15. Actually, no Di Maria or Aguero. That's a drag on them.
  16. Be amazed if it's not shit and also a comfortable win for Arg. Whylike? Argies have been fine at home in qualifying
  17. Argentina - Venezuela kicking off now.
  18. Still seems like a fairly sound scouting set up to me. They're not unknowns though are they. They're top players in major European leagues that we double the wages of. It only looks so good because most of the rest of the league are so inept in this area that they rely on domestic signings or are at the whim of agents (as are we in many ways).
  19. It's shit and only going to get worse. All the more reason to hope 2-bit clubs like QPR crash and burn.
  20. Well, we've hardly got a global plan. We do for the large part use our financial advantage to pluck from French and Dutch teams.
  21. Money makes English clubs lazy - see Stoke City for prime example.
  22. Prem TV money is causing a big imbalance. Norwich City being able to take Sporting's players, us taking from Ajax, QPR from Marseille etc. European clubs have the scouting systems to tip balance back a bit though.
  23. Will their be seeding in the UEFA play-offs? Seem to remember them dropping that in at a later date last time when they realised a good team could drop out. An all-Iberian play off would be a 'disaster' in their eyes.
