Fulham won away at Spurs last week didn't they? I can't really remember, such was my chronic depression after the Wigan debacle. Hopefully they're suitably reaching the point of end of season mid-table malaise and we can get the win 3 days after playing 90 minutes in Lisbon, then I'll have a lot of fears eased. Otherwise, we're deep in the fucking shit.

We were fucking DOGSHITE against Wigan man.
-
Our away form is absolutely horrendous and our home run-in is difficult. Yeah, Sunderland are shite but its the derby. Fulham is absolutely critical.
-
Every time a home game comes round at the moment the pressure is piled massively on it, such is our complete incompetance away from home. Even the shite teams can nick the odd fucking result. Now we're going into the Fulham game needing nothing less than a victory.

We are sleepwalking head first back into the relegation mire with this idiot. He is continually sucking the life out of watching NUFC play football and our attitude to football matches is a disgrace. We don't defend well, we don't press well off the ball, we don't keep the ball when we get it, our movement is atrocious, we can't keep shape, we can't defend set pieces, we can't score from set pieces, we are still abysmal on the transitions and we struggle to create chances. There is no factor of the sport where you could truly say we are well coached or effective in. Sissoko, Gouffran and Debuchy's arrivals perked our form up for a brief spell but like many mockingly predicted they have slowly been dragged down to the same static, dire, prosaic football the rest of the squad play.

He didn't have persistent injuries. Not looking at his history anyway, seemed to play pretty much full seasons in the MLS and then just didn't get a game at Leeds. Edit: he had an ankle injury. Still, seems a bit churlish to try and question his motivations for retirement.

Would like Boro back up. Good to see the little North East teams do well - Darlo, Pools, Boro, Gateshead etc.
-
Can't stand that like. Bad enough the 'CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HISTORY' stuff that discounts everything pre-1993, now they're gonna start doing it since this competition was 'created'.

He's good. Not a potential top player like the others, but quality. Immense in the air. He does have some childish mistakes sometimes; his brain freezes. And since he went to Zenit he stagnated a little. But well, even better players chose the same pact (Witsel, Hulk), so I'm not judging him. Money is important. Good point you make about the players that have gone to Zenit. Funny, I still rate the Zenit team of 08 when they won the UEFA Cup under Advocaat as one of the most aesthetically pleasing sides I've seen - but these days they are chronic to watch. Lots of individualism and little collective quality, despite having some very talented players (Hulk, Witsel, Danny, Anyukov etc). A bit of a shame, but like you say I doubt the players are too bothered when they see their bank balance.
