  1. Can see Pardew going for 4-4-2 considering the personnel we have out. He'll see that as a solid formation to protect the weakened defence away from home, when actually we'd be better playing the 'adventurous' formations that actually allow us to keep the ball far better and prevent the defence from being under sustained pressure.
  2. They're just fired up man, makes it quite tough for opposing players. Everytime I'v been to Goodison its been a decent racket, and not in the horrible Stoke way either. I've only been once for the game where Hatem scored and the atmosphere was terrible that day, don't think they made a peep all game.
  3. Zanetti still playing every game for Inter. What a freak he is.
  4. Do you rate Montoya highly? I've always felt he should be given more of a chance at right back, rather than playing players out of position or switching to a back 3.
  5. That would be cool. If he stepped up to work with Vilanova.
  6. It's not like the burden is solely on him. You still have Iniesta, Fabregas and Busquets with years left of their career. Whether somebody steps up to directly replace Xavi's role in the team might not even matter with that quality there.
  7. He'd been injuried since the end of last season, the lad even missed the Olympics (and we missed him...). To be frank he was only declared fit a couple weeks ago and already's got a start. The expectations on him are immense and Xavi no longer can play 50 games a season like he used to. I'm sure this has been said for years now yet he always seems to.
  8. I can see Tello having his uses, that pace is electric. And he does have a nice stepover. Just think that in terms of technique he sticks out like a sore thumb in that squad. But hey you need squad players and different options and I guess he is that, particularly against weaker sides.
  9. I've thought similar, I know he's only young but saw him quite often make the wrong decision and run the ball out of play as he thinks he can beat players for pace over 10 yards all of the time. He always tries the same finish too. Side foot across the keeper, quite easy to read.
  10. I'd also like to know VI's thoughts on Tello. His pace is a weapon but he reminds me very much of a Spanish Theo Walcott. First touch doesn't look like something out of Barca's system.
  11. Just seen that Llorente is back playing for Athletic. Almost forgot that he didn't move. Athletic did alright in the end only losing Martinez, plus gaining Aduriz who has matured since they last had him and his a far superior rotation forward to Toquero.
  12. Good goal from Bryan Robson and Kanu's adopted son.
  13. Shut up man. I hate him but he's scored 2 goals as a striker.
  14. Definitely. Look a horrendous outfit.
  15. Classic lose the ball and hope the ground swallows you moment. WBA away
  16. Olivier Occean scored against them. Remember him against us for Lillestrom. He was beyond awful.
  17. just wait until its City vs Spurs and the mayhem there will be in the build up to round 2 of Maicon vs Bale League and cup win in Brazil, 4 Serie A titles, 2 Coppa Italias, Champions league winner, 66 caps for Brazil, 2 Copa America wins, numerous individual awards... ...all ignored because of 1 and a half games against Gareth Bale. While carrying an injury.
  18. Aye, that's the Stoke Way. Can be derided, but Pulis knows how to keep his teams alive. And occasionally pull out a draw against City. Pulis keeps his teams alive by spending lots of money. http://transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html
  19. Reading's 'big scary black man' is in the studio, Parky.
  20. That goal by Mahevski or something. The one against Liverpool? Cracker that was.
  21. We'd never be able to field 12. Aye you don't have to fill it, that's the max though.
