Doubt PSG are too arsed mind.

That Buttner kid making his debut at LB as well.
-
So they're injured but are on the bench.
-
The fuck is Fergie doing? Valencia, Kagawa, RvP all on the bench.

Can't believe how many transfers I completely missed. Mayuka and Yoshida to Southampton, random signings. edit: Richard Wright to Man City. WHAT?!?!
-
Still can't believe JC went to QPR. Surely he had better options.

Everton vs Newcastle United - 17/09/12 @ 8pm (Live on Sky)

I don't know why he's featured so little tbh. -
Loved it. Great game and a high standard of football. Valencia threw it away 2nd half through just completely easing off I thought because it was clear as day they had more talent all over the pitch. I was surprised by how pleasant and 'cheery' the atmosphere was coming out of the ground, if that was a Toon game people would be rotten as f*** for throwing a game away so sloppily. Everything is just a lot more laid back, I gathered. Your whole country is great, tbh. Obviously the economy is in a terrible position right now but in terms of lifestyle, food, weather etc everything is brill. To be frank the team got booed off the pitch for lesser things last year, but with Emery gone they probably want to cut the team some slack. Mestalla usually has a very cheery atmosphere anyway. I never understood why they had it in so much for Emery. Thought he did a decent enough job on the whole, apart from the nasty exit from the Europa. I was meant to go to Betis - Atletico too, but it got moved to a Monday (after we'd left). Just looking now and it looks like it it was moved completely for the Super Cup anyway.

They ran a marginally later subway service I think, but we had to switch trains on the way back to the hotel. So we got one train, then on switching to the 2nd one the service was finished. Had to get a taxi the rest of the way. Got back just before 2.

Valencia fans protesting the 11pm (!) KO time when I was at the Mestalla last month. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u242/supersewelly/PICT0205.jpg From what I could make out there was a lot of anti-Barca and anti-Madrid chanting throughout the game too. Fucking daft like, 11pm on a Sunday night.

Anybody watching PSG game? Zlatan just made it 2-0. One of those situations where he was a mile offside but the ball went to the onside Menez, who proceded to run and pass it across for an easy goal. PSG have been decidedly unimpressive as a team again though. Verratti very good though.

He lives in Ponteland like most of their squad.

Enjoy seeing players for small nations rack up large international goalscoring records. Carlos Ruiz scored his 53rd tonight (they're 0-1 up, not sure if this is good or bad for US).

I mean, in terms of regional strength, it's the weakest confederation vs. the 2nd weakest. Though New Zealand more than held their own at the last WC and the minnows of CONCACAF (Honduras, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, and Canada) are improving by leaps and bounds. Does make some sense to do a CONCACAF-CONMEBOL playoff though. Yep. The cross-continental play-offs while intriguing, are completely nonsensical. Especially considering they seem to just change them round at a whim now.

It's not shocking because we already knew most the cryptic bullshit he's posted. We know that the club has a strict transfer policy that means we will only do deals on our terms. It hasn't changed since Keegan left because that was the bloody plan, with Carr as a much more capable version of Dennis Wise and Pards as Keegan, albeit with more clarity over his exact role in the whole transfer business. I've no doubt Pardew wanted more players and some of the squad are a bit miffed we haven't spunked cash up the wall. I've no doubt Wraith has heard a few whispers about this from his 'sources' and decided that it was his duty to tweet about the HUGE unrest enveloping the NUFC camp (and that these tweets have absolutely nothing to do with attracting an audience for his fanzine, match day bar venture, boxing promotions or books about the Kray twins). I've also no doubt this will blow over in a few weeks time if we pick up a few wins. As for Cabaye, if he hadn't had a shaky start brought on by the fact he's sitting deep in a midfield four because Tiote is injured, he's been crocked himself this preseason and just came off what was an 11 month season we'd not be pissing worrying. The idea that he's in a girly huff because we didn't sign Debuchy (which is something I've seen floated a million times this summer) is absolutely mental, considering not 12 months ago he gladly fucked off over the channel away from him and spent an entire season playing like he was having the time of his life. Very much enjoyed reading your posts recently. Grounded and logical rather than hysterical and overly negative.

Just seen that the 4th placed team in CONCACAF will play-off against Oceania I thought after the last WCQ campaign FIFA had actually looked at a map. Alas not.
-
Be nice to see them qualify. Personally would like to see Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Venezuela make it as the 5. Ecuador are flying at the moment though.

Just an extension of the Premier League arrogance, really. Thinking that because most of the Scottish team plays in the Prem that they're automatically good, when actually like most of the tail end of the PL they're average ranging to total shite (see Hutton, Alan). Serbia have a fair splattering of players playing for good European clubs and their players are almost all competent technically.

How good are the British Isles at football.
