  1. This will be the most jovial he looks all season Pompey season ticket holder apparently!
  2. James Ward-Prowse starting for Southampton is 17 League debut away to Man City.
  3. Agree. Not impressed with those signings at all. Top scorer in France and one of Germany's all-time top scorers in his prime. They look good on paper, but I can sort of agree. Giroud is a bit one paced and Podolski has flopped at big club's before. Will be interested to see how they do. I think they're about as good as Arsenal could have bought.
  4. Song was hardly a disciplined defensive midfielder though. He plays as if he thinks he's Zidane.
  5. Sahin is a different type of player to Song but I don't think he's particularly worse. Good replacement.

    Berbatov going there As if.
  7. Wigan have been good since 5 minutes onwards like. Probably be OK this season. Hazard destroying Ramis was like a new kid at school bullying a much less cool new kid on the first day.
  8. Paulo Ferreira on the bench for Chelsea. He is STILL there?!
  9. Pity MOTD didn't show him getting both their central midfielders booked in the space of 3 minutes. That was great. Shame it took till the second half before we started seeing the benefit of it. Always good to have both opposing centre mids playing with a bit of restraint.

The bitterness over there is at insane levels tonight. Apparently Ben Arfa winning the penalty was 'the first good thing he'd done all game' and that he's been 'dreadful' all match.
  11. Probably been mentioned loads but it was amazing how sharp he looked.
  12. It's funny cos it's true. However yours would read "I can't this is important - I've got to post a hilarious cartoon mocking two cunts I've never met before on an internet forum'
  13. if we get beat in the home league or had we been beat in the away ? if we are slightly behind from the away leg then it will spark off the home leg. Whey both would be bad like My post was losing here then pressure being on the home leg. Obviously you'd then expect a reaction like you say, but an occasion I'd rather avoid I think! your post has twice i think been about losing here then the pressure being on the home leg (ie here) Losing there* ! Annoying typo in that situation!
  14. You stated it as a fact then tried to justify yourself with that "weaker league" nonsense THEN decided you meant something else Always check the facts, soo-soo. This is completely perplexing. I still don't understand why something that happened in a previous season has anything to do with the point/prediction I was making. Yes I stated it 'as a fact' because usually in forums or any form of debate you don't have to clarify everything with 'in my opinion'; it simply goes without saying. Sheer pedantry.
  15. This is extremely tedious and tiresome. How can I be wrong about something that is quite clearly an opinion? I could say exactly the same thing to you, telling you to 'save time and admit you're wrong' but it's pointless and a totally arsey thing to do.

  17. I haven't twisted my own words at all. I said that as long as they are playing him upfront they have zero chance of qualifying for the CL. It goes without saying that I'm talking about this season ffs. What relevance has a previous season got to do with anything? It is a ridiculous retort in numerous ways.
  18. Because Anita is here to play in midfield?
  19. This happened a few years ago btw. Played 34 games and scored 18 (24 in all comps) the year they qualified. Weaker league that year. They did it with Huddlestone and Palacios in midfielder that year too. Point still stands. No it doesn't. You said it wouldn't happen and it already had. Surely having a weak midfield just makes his 24 goals that year even more impressive? What did I say about time and effort? I'm saying it won't happen That it has happened in a previous season with completely different squads and different teams matters not one jot to the point. Everton got top 4 playing Marcus Bent upfront one year. With the current top 6 or 7, they won't be finishing in the top four unless they can get a better striker. That is my opinion. It was an impressive tally, easily the best of his career and helped by scoring 6 goals in 2 games against Wigan Athletic.

They won't be getting close this season unless they can resign Adebayor or get somebody who can be as useful as him.
