  1. It's massive for a Czech side but peanuts for Werder so good deal all round you'd say. Apart from the fact it sums up the economic disparity in European football at the moment.
  2. Would you rather they didn't try to use the correct pronunciation?
  3. Slovan Liberec. Between 2 and 3 million Euros.

    Alan Smith

Otter is way out on the Alan Smith subject like. Gives this prick far too much of an easy ride.
  9. Aye, even though I'm rank at heading it still riles me to see professionals closing their eyes on a header I do that.
  10. I was selective in that I posted numerous links that agreed with my own opinion that Iniesta played very well in that game and a few that agreed he was the best on the pitch? That is not selective. In fact I merely plucked the first results from a Google search. I don't know why you've put the word facts in inverted commars either. I never mentioned the word 'facts' because we're not discussion facts, what I have posted are merely opinions.
  11. Hopefully if we do sign him we can teach him a thing or two about headed goals. Prancy Dutch fanny.
  12. Heading the ball is as much technical skill as it is about leap, size and athleticism. Klose is a great header of the ball.
  13. Haha. Surely they'll only turn out for the FA Cup games? Admittedly that is probably even worse.
  14. It's more to do with him improving/adapting his game at one of the world's biggest clubs under the greatest manager of all time, than the league he is playing in. Same reason why his many other attributes have changed and he has improved as a player. To suggest that the league he played in made him a better header of the ball is just bizarre. There is next to no difference in the amount of headers at any level of football, from park level to the World Cup.
  15. http://enbsports.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/league-with-most-headed-goals-per-game_29.html If Ronaldo had played in the Dutch second division, he'd have scored an even better header today.
  16. What an absolutely absurd comment. Not really. I don't understand what you mean by it at all though. Premier League has more headed goals? We invented headers? He wouldn't be able to head the ball if he played somewhere else?
  17. What an absolutely absurd comment.
  18. He is no different to people like Peter Wittingham and Graham Dorrans who thanks to infinitely more time and space have had their technical superiority exaggerated greatly with very strong statistics in that division. The only difference is Taarabt is flashier and has more tricks.
  19. Taarabt has proven to be essentially terrible in the top flight. Wouldn't pay more than £2 million for him.
  20. He brought up website scores. I was happy to keep it at what I watched with my own eyes.
  21. Disagree, Spain had trouble playing their normal possession football especially in the first half as Pirlo had the better of Iniesta and was dictating play. Quite a few major football websites gave Pirlo the MOM in that match. In any case even if Iniesta played a blinder against Italy (which he didn't), which is 1 in 3, it's hardly enough to say that he has been brilliant in Euros which was the original point 9/10 Independent, highest score http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/spain-v-italy-player-ratings-7834790.html?action=gallery&ino=9 8/10 Sky Sports, highest score http://www.skysports.com/football/user_ratings/0,19768,11065_3472050,00.html 7.9 average Guardian, highest score http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/playerratings/2012/jun/10/spain-v-italy 8/10 ESPNstar, joint highest with Pirlo http://www.espnstar.com/editorial/news/detail/item813601/Spain-vs-Italy-Player-Ratings/ 8/10 goal.com, joint highet with DDR http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/71174/spain-vs-italy/player-ratings 7.3 Eurosport, highest average http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/euro/spain-italy-413765.html UEFA.com, man of the match http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=2012/man-of-the-match-award/md=1/match=2003323/index.html He was excellent in that game. 22. Been a while since one of these. Otter is gutted he didn't opt for this option now.
  23. They're a well ran club. Probably most financially sound in Holland. 12 million Euros up front is a huge temptation no matter what your finances. Yep - they're financially sound because they buy and sell well.
