  1. Great move for him. Champions League football, play great football, massive crowds etc
  2. Otter the arbiter of threadworthyness.
  3. Hoilett has already signed for somebody else. Oh missed that, where's he gone? Not confirmed yet but off to Gladbach What a waste How is it a waste?
  4. I like the sound of this signing if it's true. Full-back option and gives us the chance to play an extra defensive midfielder in games - or just backup there when Tioté at ACoN.
  5. He's right footed so he could've played there. Still doubt there's any truth in it. Aye he did. Doh, still plays LB mostly though doesn't he?
  6. Stan Collymore ‏@StanCollymore Looks like another steal by the Toon! Vernon Anita, can play RB/MF,saw him for Ajax v United.Boy can play! Obviously wasn't paying that much attention.
  7. Emanuele Giaccherini will start for Italy, his debut at 27. Was playing in the 3rd division 3 years ago and 4th division in 07/08. 2010/2011 was his first top flight season of his career before getting a move to Juve.
  8. Wat? Premier League top scorer. Oh, I got that. Just a bit surprised to see you not even mentioning the likes of Van Persie, Rooney, Aguero, etc. Both Jelavic and Cisse have made excellent starts to their Premiership career, but do you really expect them to score 30 odd goals next season? How many times as the Prem top scorer scored more than 30 goals?! Van Persie got 30 this season, with Rooney 27. You'd need to be in that ball park to "battle it out for top scorer next season" I'd have thought.. It's just as likely to be around 20 for top scorer though going off previous seasons.

  10. Absolutely no chance. Ireland don't concede more than 1 goal.
  11. Dropping RvP in a game against Germany that is basically win or bust would be an enormous call that they can't afford to make.
  12. Are we? Maybe not scrimp, but I'd have thought the suggested figures for say Debuchy would take up a large amount of budget.
  13. What about Arshavin yesterday? Reversal.
  14. £7 million? When we're trying to scrimp together money for defensive reinforcements? Forgive me for worrying that Tiote might be off if we do invest that in him.
  15. I'd go as far to say that after England Portugal are consistently the most overrated team going into major tournaments. Everybody always seems to back them as at least potential outsiders and they are persistently negative, toothless up top and overall disappointing.. Closest they've ever got to winning a major trophy was with their golden generation on home soil and they still messed up the final to the worst side ever to win a major competition.
  16. despite the talent they always have a s*** centre forward as well, probably all the way back to eusebio. Pauleta was good, non? non. pauleta, nuno gomes, postiga, almeida, joao pinto. all medicore, certainly compared to the type of players they had behind them like costa and figo. Aye. 30 of Pauleta's 47 goals came against Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Cyprus, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Cape Verde and Albania. I know that's par for the course for impressive international records but he was a poacher who didn't offer much else and always let down the impressive midfield talent they had behind them. Good player in Ligue 1 though.
  17. Hopefully Paraguay don't make the next World Cup. Boring side. Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Colombia please.
