Pretty sure that's the contract he was demanding.
-
He would had played a lot less this season anycase with Cabaye coming in anycase, but he would be more useful than Dan Gosling has been this season. Also his contribution over the last 2 years helped us to get us into the position we are in now both on and off the pitch. So 60 a week for a squad player? Football doesn't work like that, man. You can't collect footballers like a Panini sticker album. Getting rid of him and in turn moving the captaincy has been absolutely the right decision.
-
So people would have liked him to stay, right? As a 60k a week bench option to be used as 'body to throw on at certain times' who I suppose also still held the captaincy? Sounds plausible.

Nolan was absolute crap just off a lone striker. I can't believe anybody wouldn't be anything other than happy that he is no longer here, the bloke looks out of his depth in the Championship - AGAIN.
-
What a joke. Typical Allardyce, long ball and kill the keeper.

wistamm back in front

Pwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwopaaaa naaaawwwtyyyyy goal

Nolan was shit up front.

Fuck's sake man. Especially when we're an injury away to our own captain from being completely fucked, tasteless.

"Difficult league where anybody can beat each other." Except when we were there

Nottingham Forest fans must be fuming. 2nd bottom of the Championship while Perchenbauer chases the CL

Don't know how many times I have to correct people with regards to this. FC Twente have a one sided clause to extend his contract by one more season, which they will almost certainly use, considering it will mean they can get a fee for him. Hoilett won't be free either, they'll get a significant compensation fee. Upwards of £6 or 7 million apparently. Clyne will be compo too but significantly less. I've got a feeling we'll definitely sign him. What makes you think we'll definitely get Clyne? Man U are reportedly very interested and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of competition for his signature. Pards mentioning we are looking at Palace's players on Goals on Sunday (plus his Palace connections), ITKs on the palace forum saying we were after him plus Simpson's contract situation and our need for a fullback in general. Just got a hunch, I can't see him going to Man U.

I agree that it goes without saying he should be playing. Hopefully we stick him wide right in a 4-4-2 once we have our full team available.

I'd love us to be playing more progressive and attractive stuff but so long as we're winning I will take that over aesthetics every week at the moment. I always said I'd rather play good football than shit football if we were meandering about in mid-table, this season is different though because by some miracle we're up there in the table. Results above all else for me.

They have probably the most settled CB pairing in the league, plus a veteran/legend backup and an up and coming player they spent big money on. I don't think that's where they'll be strengthening in the summer. Edit: and Kelly can play there too.

A full-back (left or right) A centre back A winger A young-ish striker as competition to the Dembas and Lovenkrands replacement. Are top of the list for me plus anybody needed to replace exits (whether big sales or squad players given the boot). A few 18-22 year old players to pad out the squad and I'd like to see a nice intake of players at reserve/youth level too. I think the chances are we'll see one big sale and a minimal net spend, but overall we'll get another window that will progress the side at first XI and squad level.

Was just wondering before where Ronny had gone. Must have missed him getting banned.

Jonas AND Ben Arfa? Must be Christmas Tree.

With that I'd rather go Ben Arfa wide left and Jonas as a CM. -
We'll get it and then Chelsea will win the CL.
