  1. Didn't we buy Guivarc'h on the back of a really good league season? He finished top scorer with Auxerre, playing alongside Siberski funnily enough.
  2. Not to mention they KEEP getting signed. I'm sure Willie McKay is solely responsible.
  3. Ba touched the ball about four times. Just goes to show the worth of judging someone based on an international tournament. One of the most inconsistent and unpredictable ways of judging a player. Always baffles me when teams do it.
  4. The FA's hypocrisy is unreal towards incidents like this. Appealing for Rooney's kick to be reduced for example.
  5. Just watched it again, doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the Balotelli one. Or the Crouch and Lescott incidents recently that have gone unpunished.

What does stability bring? I ask the question because I don't think it matters as much when a club has a scouting system which identifies the transfers. I agree stability doesn't mean being tactically inflexible but the tactics we've seen this season haven't been anything out of the ordinary anyway and we've had as many tactics that have back-fired as those that have worked well. The tactics worked well against Stoke, they failed against Brighton. I can't to this day work out what our tactics were against Norwich and I doubt many people can either yet they worked against Man U. Tactics versus Man Utd were hoof the ball up but play it on the deck when in their half imo. Ironically the tactics Allardyce always claims to play. The hoofing against Man U made a bit of sense with the strong wind firmly in our favour. I don't like it generally though.
  7. I remember even Danish and Norwegian people saying Hangeland would bomb over here.
  8. Can't see that Montpellier chairman entertaining the idea of their captain coming to us.
  9. What a signing Klose on a freebie has been for the Fascists. Really surprised by the impact he's made in Italy.

They've been like that in pretty much every game so far under O'Neill. Organised, methodical, back-to-basics football. A combination of being better defensively, taking chances on the transitions and an element of luck has turned their results around. It's irritating but if the peak of their amibition signing wise is Kevin Davies then hopefully they'll hit a ceiling pretty soon.
  11. Another loan deal, QPR being a bit more sensible than expected (OR UNAMBITIOUS!!!!!). No idea what the player is like.
  12. Annoying as fuck. Even a loan would do. Can't believe we're gonna risk the rest of the season with 2 CBs.
  13. 2 days left after today? Are we gonna get a CB then? Getting less likely by the day.
  14. We should have gone for Guidetti in the summer when he was faultering on his contract.

It worries me when our manager considers Joey Barton wide left as a good decision Playing him wide left once is not as mental as managers consistently playing him in the middle.
  16. Amazing how easily they squandered their opportunity. They were in a position to be doing what Spurs are now. A complete lack of imagination from manager and boardroom insured this. Completely. I'm sure brummie would agree.
  17. Aye, didn't cut the mustard.
  18. Villa have too many players who are slow in body and mind. People like Hutton, Collins and Dunne just scream 'clogger'.
  19. Now a brilliant chest down for Nocerino.
  20. Zlatan just scored a brilliant free-kick for Meelan.
  21. He was a crock and fat. Has been most of his career, hence being a total journeyman.
