Hope he's not as much of a cunt as the other one.

I don't know, really. Like the article says he never really set the world alight for Aberdeen but has been a sensation for Rangers. I think the motivation of this being a big chance and such a gamble of his career might have influenced his performances. You can tell what kind of a difference it can make when players are playing for contract security by just looking at the miraculous upturn in form many players have when they're down to their last 6 months. Obviously we all know the standard of the SPL, but he must have something to be comfortably Rangers best player in the last month or so.

It's more to do with the fact Villa is his ceiling, hence a year out before making a - at the very best - sideways step. There's no way he would ever be considered for top jobs, simple as that. He couldn't build the dynasties that Fergie and Wenger have built and entrusting him with unlimited funds would be ludicrous not to mention his tactical and coaching flaws. He's good at what he does and is a perfect fit for Sunderland, just like he was at Leicester and Villa but he's too limited to make the next step up. He is the Darren Bent of football managers. England job would probably suit him. Short term impact, motivate the squad and get things back to basics. Doubt the FA would ever consider a Northern Irish manager for the England job though.

Great to see Sone Aluko doing well for Rangers after the sacrifice he made pushing through his move there. Him and his family put together their savings to pay for the compensation for Aberdeen, only for a contract until the end of the season too so a big risk.

Where you heard this?

He's significantly better than Kris Boyd.

Same cunt, yeah.

Surely after his success with Villa he should have then made the step up from Villa rather than a step down to a smaller club? He won't ever get the job at Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal/Spurs/City because of his faults that you ignore. You need a bit more than master motivation skills and big target men to manage Man United.

He should have took Villa higher really considering how they started seasons. Stubborness in team selections always meant they tailed off second half of the season and like Baba said a lack of creativity in the transfer market stopped them breaking in the way Spurs have. They spent just as much as Spurs but their net didn't spread as far and wide so you inevitably have a lower success rate.
-
What counts as succeeding? He won't get them as high as he got Villa considering how other teams have improved and having much more to spend at Villa.

Has Barrios to Fulham been mentioned?

But they are, and we (Spurs) don't. If you think Krul is excellent, then you'd expect him to be your keeper for at least five years, maybe even ten. 15M is reasonable, to me it's more surprising that sides haven't paid that much before. You can't tell me Reina for 8.5M (or whatever Liverpool paid) wasn't an absolute steal. This is a world where Liverpool paid more than 15M each for Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Glen Johnson and Suarez (fair enough). You can't convince me that 15M or so is too much of an ask for any keeper. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goalkeeper_%28association_football%29#Highest_fees 5 of the top 9 most expensive keepers were bought in 2011. I think the days of them being undervalued might be coming to an end. A good keeper is worth their weight in gold and the longevity of their careers surely makes them even bigger bargains?

Habib Beye wouldn't be much of a solution for us in 2012. He's on loan at Doncaster Rovers for a reason.

Hasn't he had injury problems? Missed the last month of last season with a spinal injury. Been back playing pretty decently (for the level he's at) as far as I can tell. Doesn't seem all that prolific in second division.

Andy Johnson scores more goals than Rodellega. Rodellega hasn't scored this season. Rodellega has 2 goals this season, Johnson a whopping 3. Johnson has scored a goal every 6+ league games for Fulham, Rodallega just over every 4 for Wigan. Rodellega got 9 last season and 10 the season before, Johnson hasn't managed more than 3 for 3 years and last scored more than 7 in 2007. Burn. I rate Rodallega higher than Johnson like.

Forest selling their best defender to Leicester. They could be truly fucked if they go down. Up the shitter financially with a selection of overpaid and unmotivated players they'll struggle to shift in League One.

That picture is Troy Deeney.

Fredy Guarin to Inter.
