We need a couple of players in on loan still to make that a probability, so if we can do that I think we'll be ok. Just look at the subs we brough on against Leicester. In a couple of months time they'll more than likely be starting matches because of the inevitable injuries and suspensions. I'm not saying they're bad players but they only have experience of playing reserve and junior fixtures on a regular basis in front of 1 man and his dog but we'll be relying on them to go out and get results for us at the likes of Boro and Sheff Utd. A tall order imo. The likes of Boro and Sheff Utd will get injuries as well though. Do you reckon Boro's or Sheff U's fourth choice striker is as good as Ranger? Reserve keeper as good as Krul? Back up left back as good as Kadar? Even without adding anybody we've still got one of the best squads in the division if not the best.

Aye fair point there. Owen's goal vs Sunderland was probably the pick of them. But that goal was probably better for the movement of the striker... i'd still put Enrique's ahead of that one. You're going out of your way to heap praise on a player who is a good player for us, but then you will rant on incessantly like an inconceivable cretin about Parker's limitations, a player who had a harder role in a harder division in the midst of our club being ripped apart by various off the field and managerial problems. The problems in Parker's time were miniscule compared to last year when Enrique and Bassong looked our best players.

They've had Jones as manager for a few years now and the squad seem to have picked up the horrible thing that happens to all of Curbishley's and Bruce's squads - look really good only for the lads to knock off 8 games early and slump to f***. Every team in this league, with the exception of WBA and Boro, is essentially nine cloggers and two flair players. And the flair players are often fairly s***. You've not heard of Swansea City then.... good.. 19th placed Swansea? You might have loads of flair players but it clearly isn't working out, not yet at least.

Makes sense. We don't buy players, why bother with scouts.
