  1. Nice to see a reasoned argument.
  2. He did? Taylor was pretty much faultless in the first half of the Championship season and since he's came back he hasn't done much wrong. Campbell has been shaky and cost us a couple of goals. I don't see the point in arguing this point because too many people are blinded by their hatred of Taylor on this forum but I think it's pretty sad some of the jibes at him. I'd have been furious is Taylor wasn't capable of playing at Championship level given the amount of time he's had bluffing his way through games in the top flight. For a player that had never had the chance to prove himself at the top level Williamson's performances in this year have been very good, save for the odd moment. I don't think it's up for debate who the better defender is out of the two. Taylor was f***ing awful yesterday, both our centre backs were. There was quite a few occasions when he switched off and played Liverpool onside. Simpson had a right go at him at least twice because he was dicking around and letting them in. Taylor's response? He waved his armed around a bit, gestured to the rest of the back four to push up and then did the same thing again a few minutes later. It's not up for debate who's better out of the two? I give up.
  3. Coloccini justifies his wages far, far more than Taylor would at 60k a week. I agree Taylor doent deserve anything over 40k p/w but Coloccini being on 70k p/w or Smith being on 50k p/w is criminal Coloccini earns his 70k a week 100000000x as much as Smith earns his 50k a week. Colo is a 50k p/w defender, Taylor 30k p/w, Williamson 20k p/w in my opinion Williamson is twice the player Saylor is. No he's not.
  4. He did? Taylor was pretty much faultless in the first half of the Championship season and since he's came back he hasn't done much wrong. Campbell has been shaky and cost us a couple of goals but Taylor has been fine, IMO, two solid performances against Chelsea and Liverpool. 5. Coloccini justifies his wages far, far more than Taylor would at 60k a week. And where's the 60k figure coming from again? Just plucked out of air it seems.
  6. Eh, you not see the releagation-meter, most ppl thought we'd just stay up I'm just going off the general feeling on here.
  7. ITS A BLOODY CHARACTER ASSASSINATION MAN!!!!
  8. What do you class as ball retention? He picks the ball up outside his own box and carries it, relives pressure. Now of course lately he hasnt been doing this as well, but when he's full of confidence he does it as well as anyone in the team. That's not really ball retention though, as while he might on occasion carry the ball forward 10-20 yards, he usually ends up walking into trouble. That's what bugs me about his game, he never tries to run past players. He stands, waits for the ball to played into feet, puts the ball on right foot, waits until the defender (or two) come in to close him down, and then tries to take the ball forward. It is ball retention. Im not sure what else carrying the ball into the oppositions half is classed as then? I could dribble 90 yards up the field, but if I pass the ball to opposition defence I haven't retained the ball. Iniesta and Xavi are ball retainers, as nearly everything they do goes to a team mate. I personally don't feel that Jonas has that quality, his decision making is a major flaw which effects everything he does, include retention of the ball. He picks the wrong pass, picks the wrong time to run and where to run. Like I said, his passing stats are flattering because he'll pass 3-5 yards to Enrique 20 times a game, but those passes are usually concentrated around the halfway line. His forward passing his terrible. If you took passes to Jose away his figures aren't that stellar. You critisize him for not being able to hold on to possesaion as well as Xavi and Iniesta and then moan when he gives 5 yard passes which keep possession?

  10. Are you his agent? No, and I haven't claimed to know anything, unlike you.
  11. neesy you don't know any of this, stop pretending you do.
  12. You haven't got a clue what either side are offering/rejecting, like the rest of us.
  13. How much is he asking for like? Until I hear anything concrete I'd more inclined to belief the club are the ones taking the piss. There is evidence of the club messing players/managers around in the past... Taylor has form too mind. How much is he asking for this time? Is it unreasonable? 60k a week. Yes. Thanks for clearing the matter up...

  16. Still been more productive than Routledge this season for all his faults.
  17. Who have Real got who is better? I'd have Tevez over Higuain and Benzema any day of the week. He could easily take Pedro's position at Barcelona as well.

    Shola Ameobi

Not sure how he can be blamed for being played when he's injured. He's apparently done it in the past to the detriment of his own career as well. I think its a little pathetic how as a soon as a player is not flavour of the month he's a c*** (not a personal attack on you wormy). I'm glad Carroll didn't take most fans advice and fuck off to a League 1 club.
  19. Anyone think we pressed a bit more forcefully today? Maybe one of the 'one or two' changes Pardew mentions in his interview.

    Sol Campbell

Expect criticism? Everyone on here seems to detest Taylor and thinks he's shit...
  21. There's a photo on Getty of Carroll and Taylor giving it each other high fives and smiling. If there was a problem between there's no evidence of it now. Good news.
