4, 5 and 6 were pretty much interchangeable between centre half and centre midfield. All of the others were pretty much set in stone, apart from the odd striker being number 8 etc. Talking about early 90s here.

No idea why I'm being fair to Brett, but tbf to Brett he heavily caveated his post and said he wasn't comparing them as players.

I really hope he doesn't end up going the way of Jon Dahl Tomasson. Probably my biggest NUFC regret, could have been excellent for us but was hung out to dry stuck up front on his own once Shearer got injured.

Not sure which post is more poignant here RIP Jimmy Hill, very clearly one of the good guys and was obsessed with football and making it better.
