He fucking hates horrible route one merchants like

We have 4 games left this calendar year, reckon we need at least 5 points from those games to not fall behind.

Was Solano's 41st birthday yesterday.

Was such a daft decision, both players had similar fees and we went for the one that was over-the-hill. Despite the other being from Wallsend and probably gagging to sign. Spurs ended up quadrupling their money (or more) after he did a great job for them, while we plodded along with Nicky Butt. The highlight of his NUFC career was the moment he lost his mind and did an overhead kick in the Championship for no reason, other than that he generally hoofed it out of play every time the ball got near him.
-
As I say I've never been a huge fan either, I do think he'd slot in well currently though and would bring some much needed assuredness to the side. It's a pointless discussion anyway, we don't sign players like that anymore but I'm saying we should in some circumstances. As an aside, it always pissed me off that we let Spurs get Carrick off West Ham so we could sign Butt, apparently at the wish of Shepherd rather than Robson.

I got excited and sent him a PM asking for his thoughts Nothing yet.
-
How come, does he hate Carrick? I've never been that massive on him either tbh but it's a no-brainer on an 18-month deal given our other options, him being local, and his considerable experience. If we're determined to play 2 central midfielders as we have been then I think we'd see much better results with Anita-Carrick than Anita-Colback.

Luckily I can. Honestly, I could go on and on and on, there are dozens of these. The way you paint yourself as someone who warned against the dangers of getting rid of the loathsome cunt is absolutely unbearable. Fucking hell.
-
He did leave for a team that where in the bottom 3 like, I don't think he was loving it. Aye, it was definitely Mike Ashley that forced him out, not the fanbase that made it perfectly clear how loathed he was. He couldn't believe his luck, having been plucked from the lower leagues with his reputation shot and then growing his reputation via his own hot air over the course of 4 years, then having another Premier League job to stroll into when it was clear he'd outstayed his welcome at NUFC. His career was done before we hired him and he's managed to squeeze another 5-10 years out of it through sheer sycophancy, arrogance and cynical PR skills.

If we're talking about Spurs they started the season really slowly didn't they? They've been drawing too many games all season, otherwise they'd be top of the league or thereabouts given that they haven't lost since the first day. Only them and Leicester have 1 loss.
-
It's Mike Ashley. Certainly, those that at the time felt we would move on to better things when he left are looking stupid now. As are the people that felt the heart of the problems of our club was Alan Pardew. By the time he left the team was shit and was doing much better than I expected. He's landed on his feet at Palace though. They have a core of really good players that seem a good group. Any average PL manager (of which Pardew is - he's better than good Championship coaches but rubbish PL coaches like Warnock & Holloway) would have them safe. Throw in an ambitious owner who is willing to back his manager you have a great situation. He knows it won't last, best bet for him is England.

Looks like a library built in the 70s.
-
Aye, and all of his previous clubs went from strength to strength when he left. Other than Southampton it took them all years to recover (IIRC), and not for good reasons.
-
He didn't asses the team, he assessed the club. Aye and this was years ago when we had a more talented and balanced squad than we have now.
-
Mike, man. Come back this time next year with that bollocks, he's had a good first 18 months most jobs he's been in. He's never surpassed that.
-
We'd benefit so much from a couple of experienced heads signed on short-term deals in January like, would probably keep us up. Carrick + a centre half whose not getting in their PL side at the minute, have lost interest to the extent that I can't even tell you who that could be.
-
He supposedly said something negative about Ben Arfa. That seems to be the main reason he gets the hate on this forum. In the main, he's done well since he came in, especially since he is playing with an injury. It was more that the comments he made showed how far he was in with Pardew, saying we were "about where we should be" when were vastly underperforming at the time.
-
He'll get his, man. He'd have to do something he's never done before otherwise, i.e. keeping a honeymoon period going for beyond 18 months on the strength of pure bullshit and luck.
-
Fantastic result for Bournemouth and they played really well. It's a bit early to judge him but Howe's doing a smashing job, wonder if he'll go on to be a top manager. Think he's got more about him than similar examples of late.
