West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Interpolic replied to Pilko's topic in Football
They're also saying 'Tiote and Cabaye and you have a deal'. Can't tell if that means they rate Carroll that highly or they think Tiote and Cabaye are terrible . They're just being annoying Liverpool fans. -

Article is from this morning/afternoon. Admittedly I never realised that since I did a quick search on Google News when I got in, but so what? What's changed? -

21 more days of this transfer window left FFS.
-
Indeed. Transfer windows were a daft idea. Under what premise were they first conceived? Was it some bullshit about helping the 'smaller clubs'? Allardyce said in his Standard column the other day it was introduced in this country to ensure we were in line with the rest of Europe.

Pardew can't remember the patter he came out with yesterday man, never mind patter from months ago.

Aye...both were sitting deep, hence Ben Arfa looking a little lost in the number 10 role. Both Barfa and Best were dropping back to try and fill the gap, but both ended up being too deep also. I think Cabaye was offering protection to Abeid with him being an relative unknown quantity. As the game settled, Cabaye was more willing to drive forward and confident to let Abeid to his thing, hence second half basically us camping in the Blackburn half. Fair do's, cheers. Hopefully they can carry that 2nd half forward if they're paired together on Sunday then. -
Oh really. That's pretty good imo, fits canny.

Regarding Abeid and Cabaye, Radio Newcastle seemed to think that on Saturday - in the first half at least - both players were playing far too deep, leading to there being 30-40 yards between the midfield and the forwards and therefore not much of a link between midfield and attack. Any truth in that? -
How about "Cheick, Cheick, Cheick... Cheick, Cheick, Cheick... Cheick Tiote, Cheick Tiote..." ... to the tune of (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty by KC & The Sunshine Band. That works, yeah?

Can we please make this Spurs fax attack happen?
-
The irony is that these players who move often end up being bit-part players spending a fair bit of time on the bench, rather than being the focal point of a team that they were at their previous clubs.
-
I've never liked him either.

Yes and that what he agent will be after, no doubt that will be who told melted face.
