  1. I’m of the firm belief that a reporters job is to break the news, not make it. Somewhere along the lines it has changed to make the news, or give an opinion piece, but present it as news/investigative journalism. I think there are far too many who fall into the latter, especially in football.
  2. In light of Staveley and Ghodoussi going, we need a public face to the club. Ordinarily I would say this is a bad idea, but the nature of our club with it being the only thing on the minds the city/region, and with the 14 years of Ashley’s cloak and dagger games, and no communication, we need communication. That will change a bit when we have things like a new stadium, training ground, and a better squad. For now though we need someone to interact with the fans. I’m not going to have a go at him for doing so, aside from saying the Milan stuff was a bit cringy, but he needs to start showing results elsewhere. Not only does that mean signings, but those sponsors that are elusive and have been coming for over a year, but also we need a plan for both SJP, and the training ground/academy. The good indication so far is that the women’s team where money is no issue, hasn’t been an issue for investment, and we also do seem to be making strides with our academy recruits which is similar.
  3. Sorry like, but if I had an issue with my boss at work who was a part owner, not a chance I’d be waging a war against them, because ultimately I would reasonably expect me to be out of a job.
  4. Also, he says that as if he hasn’t just said that Parish was straining us along.
  5. Dreading this now. We have been shit in all our fixtures so far, and been lucky to get the results we have got, against opposition that is lesser than Spurs. On top of this we have the fallout of the transfer window, the fans will just be waiting to let out their frustration.
  6. I’m sorry like, but if you have doubts about an article, someone from the Daily Hail doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. Everything in it just ties in with idiots on Twitter coming to their own fear induced conclusions. Parish stringing us along for the sake of it. Nah, because someone in his position would reasonably think that he could only be able to do it for a couple of bids before a club went elsewhere and he’s ultimately only wasted his own time, not to mention unsettled one of his biggest players. It’s all fans conspiracy nonsense. The Staveley stuff, ok we don’t have a way of knowing it’s true, but do you really think Eales would go up against part owners of the club, the people who brought him in, the people who making him look good in his job by doing some of it for him and expect to come out the right side of it? Nah, he’s just using that as a possibility because the opportunity to do so has risen, amid a black hole of actual reasoning. Comparing it to Mike Ashley’s ownership, as if that hasn’t been mentioned by idiots on Twatter who have either came out of the woodwork since the takeover, or are notoriously overreaching in their reactions to everything from results, and performances. Much like the front pages of the newspaper he works for sings to the tune of social media morons to feed their hate, and their fears, Hope has done exactly the same there for the back pages. A whole lot of conjuncture and myths assembled to enrage, and cause disruption, all in the hope that people buy the paper that would be better used as Andrex, or gather a few clicks to their websites.

    St James' Park

The new fence will end up getting kicked to fuck by fans leaving the stadium.
  8. We should offer them Wilson and go in for David.
  9. Chelsea getting double fucked by the same club in an hour.
  10. Probably good for us in the long term. The Premier League is no longer the go to League. Even Chelsea, the guys who got the ball rolling this side of 2000 of throwing money at it can’t afford him, and he’s not going to Real Madrid or Barca which is an excuse. The Premier League, and later to a lesser extent UEFA will be forced to allow clubs who have money to spend it.
  11. In that case we should be buying a RW.
  12. I think it’s a pisstake if we don’t get anyone in. I’m sorry but the 2 areas you would upgrade ahead of the summer would have been RW, and then either CB, or a forward player. If we have the money to bid £65m for Guehi and it isn’t enough, we should have either been getting an alternative CB, or more preferably a RW. Failure to do so is shambolic, and I don’t care if our director of football has only been in the job a couple of months, or anything else that’s went on. They have put their own plan back 2 years at least here.

I’ve said this before, but a week or so before our takeover was announced, the head of their official supporters group stood outside the SOL with an ‘Immigrants not welcome’ sign without any condemnation. In 2016 their city voted for Brexit on the back of racist views peddled by the likes Farage, even though it threatened the biggest employer on Wearside. Large amounts of their fans argued to defend Adam Johnson for having sexual relations with an underage girl, even when the allegations first came out they sang ‘He shags who he wants’. To this day you can still find some of them saying he could do a job for them. Only Millwall beat them in dropping the BLM kneel ahead of games because of the negative reaction from their own fans. In their most recent councillor elections from May this year, Reform got a large percentage of their votes, coming 2nd in many seats. Their whole thing about defending human rights in relation to our takeover is as transparent as a fucking window.
  14. Was he forced into it though? Didn’t we reject an tournament somewhere in favour of doing what we wanted?
  15. So. Like I said, it might even mean juggling the domestic fixtures to do it so a League games is moved back or forward a few days to fit it in. It should be done that way instead.
  16. I agree with the sentiment, however if you’re a smaller club and you get drawn with Man Utd away, because of the way cup games tickets sales are distributed, you’d financially be better off drawing away.
  17. It does though. For example last year teams were tied. AC Milan and Inter are opposite tied, so they can’t play at home the same week as each other. We were opposite tied with Arsenal, so we couldn’t play on the same day as them. All you have to do is go to UEFA and tie the teams so they don’t end up playing at the same time if there was a clash.
  18. So fuck. Play it on a Friday, and play their Premier League game on a Sunday or Monday night. There is a way around it, they just wanted the effective bye. Or, and this is a big once, since our draw was made first, go to UEFA and ask them not to fucking draw the clubs together in the European competitions.
  19. Nah, just this round. By the end of this round the chance of them playing each other is pretty much certain in anyway.
  20. You just rearrange the League Cup rounds to the week the European teams don’t play. It’s fairly fucking simple like.
  21. We should just swap with Chelsea. Absolutely no fucking need for us to be going to Wimbledon on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, and absolutely no fucking need for Barrow to go to London when they can just cross the A66 and come up the A1.
  22. We need to do a lot of work in the training ground. We are nowhere near where we should be. Also after a great defence in his first full season, I’m starting to feel that he is defensively naive as I thought he was before he joined. We have a lot of work, a lot of work.
