Not that I am one for sticking up for the bent twat but he also said; "I won't use it as an excuse because it's the same for both teams." Avram Grant also slated the pitch. Thats like saying "I'm not racist...but".

I agree that there wasn't a single reason and that the fans weren't blameless.. but the fact that it had been waiting to happen for years doesn't absolve the police or put any more blame on the fans. The police should have seen what was inevitably coming (not just in that circumstance; for years before), and didn't. Crowd control, lest we forget, was supposed to be the main part of their job there. Thats what I've been trying to say, though I'm not very good at it. All of them, the police, the fans, and others, they all had a part in what happend, but arn't all entirely to blame. But Liverppol fans who go around saying they had no part in it, trying to put the blame soley on the police and everyone else is the wrong attitude, I'm not saying all Liverpool fans are like that, but their is Liverpool fans and other fans of toher clubs who go around with that perception.

Where these the same fans who "forced their way in" through a gate the police opened without shutting the gate into the main pen to divert the fans outside into the side pens, which would have prevented a lot of crushing? The question is, should they of forced their way through this open gate in the first place?, which was only opened to kick someone out. Yes the game should of been postponed untill all the fans allowed in got in safely, but thats no reason for them to not of been in an organised and petient que in the first place. We're talking about 80's football fans, not the WI It's no excuse. You could blame the fact that the game wasn't delayed, the police for opening a gate, or the fans for behaving like a pack of animals to get passed the safety measures in place in order to rush into the ground. All bad mistakes, but the behaviour of the fans is the main (not only) reason.

I hate how people think they know better than a government report into the matter at a time when they did everything to blame the fans. I hate how people are too thick to realise it could have been any other set of fans, and nearly was Leeds fans a year earlier when the ground was a lot safer. It could of been any fans, but if they fans weren't forcing their way through then it would never of happend, you can't point the blame to the police.

I hate how they blame everyone else for Hillsbrough and such, yet it was their own fans who without tickets who forced their way in past the police (untill the police had to give up because they had already lost control of them), the same goes for Hysel, and they want justice, look at nooneelse but those fans who went in regardless, then the fuckers did the same thing a few years ago when the played Milan in the Champions League final (the second time around I think it was).

Harry saying the pitch was a disgrace and blaming it for Spurs losing. Sorry, did Portsmouth play on a different pitch to Spurs?, have Portsmouth been allowed to play on that pitch before the game and get used to it? No Harry, Portsmouth and Spurs got dealt the same card.

Hence the reason you wanted Spurs to win today, more Northern. No I get it, you're completely insane. No, if you read my first post in full I said that it would of been great for Villa to of won yesterday which would of meant that their would of been atleast one team in the final that isn't southern. Who cares? Why would you choose Villa over Pompey based on some ludicrous geographical fetish? I never said I did, I just said that I'm disapointed a northern team (or in the case of Villa, a team that is atleast not southern) competiting in the final. But why? Even a 'Northern team' like Liverpool or Man Utd? Yeah but as much as Man Utd are located in the north, most of their fan base in is Japan or Soho somewhere, and Liverpool I really loathe, I'm not saying I would want them to win though, but being there would of been better the say Chelsea.

Yeah but Chelsea are more Northern than say, Plymouth so it could have been worse. Yeah but if Villa had of beaten Cgelsea yesterday then the final would have atleast had a team that wasn't southern in it.
-
It's not hard to fucking grasp. I'm disapointed that a northern team will not be in the final of the FA Cup and that it will be contested by a team from London and a team from the south coast.
-
Aye. what the fuck are you on about.. I mean I'm disapointed that no northern team will be in the final. But no matter who won today a northern team wouldn't be in the final, bu you could argue that Villa are northern (atleast they are north of London) had they of won yesterday.
-
Yeah, said as if it was something really unthinkable like Ross County beating Celtic, now that could never happen, a Premiership (so be it only for a matter of weeks) side beating another premiership side though shouldn't be described as unthinkable.
-
Even though I'm happy for Portsmouth, I'm disapointed that their is not going to be a club from north of London in the final, I'd rather see northern clubs do well then southern, and if that meant sayig Villa were northern had they of gone through yesterday then so be it.

Get in Pompey, it's the least they deserve.
-
New strip for next season. Actually it's a one off.
-
If you look at where the gaps are the you will see that 90% of them are in the corporate seating, so probably yes, all the slime balls will come crawling back, but I doubt you can say that they are real fans.
-
A great win for us, onwards to being the Champions and into the Premiership.
-
No it's not.
-
these results mean that Portsmouth are officially relegated today.
-
Trust Hull to get relegated when we no longer want them to be relegated.
-
Leicester lead again which is bad news for Boro.
-
WBA are 2-0 up, it looks like they are up.
-
Ah fuck, Bristol City lead against Swansea. We can't have the Smoggies getting into the play off's.
