  1. So much for the I'll only go if it's right for the club speach. Either he wants to come to Newcastle, or another team like Villa have came in for him, and he wants to go there. Too early to tell at the moment.
  2. I read somewhere on here that Beckfords agent has said that Beckford doesn't feel he needs to move anymore and wants to help Leeds into the Championship, though he'd consider a move if it was financially important to the club. Possibly trying to keep the fans happy if it turns out we can't meet the asking price and no one else comes in for him. Just the usual crap to keep the fans happy and him not being the bad guy, means now that he can turn around and say it was better financially and all round for the club if I left, it mean that the club can get someone of similar ability in and make some much needed money in the process. 90% of Footballers say that crap when they move to another club and reporters ask why they decided to move instead of staying.
  3. I'm sure you can sign a pre-contract 6 months before your current deal expires.
  4. Weather should hopefully of cleared or eased of by then, and I'm sure we will be more prepared for the game and the weather problem. More people are going back to work after the New Year, I'm sure over all all round we will be in a better position then we were for the Boro game which attracted 49k fans. Hopefully more young fans, and also more vocal fans will latch on to this. The reason I set the munber at 50k was because about 1-2k tickets are set aside for coporate sponsors who are not turning up this year, most of us will have no control over that sort of ticket allocation, so therefor 50k is a more realistic target.
  5. It's not a Pre-Match thread though, I'm trying to get more of our fans (those you buy individual tickets on occasions to buy aticket to the WBA match) to try and beat our record crowd of 49k in the CCC. I'm giving plenty of notice in starting this thread, because the more time we have to try and achieve it the better.
  6. Lol, I only metioned that because in my view against Boro, a few fans never actualy attended despite having a ticket/season ticket, and some fans maybe going off on their holidays when the game is on, if so let someone else use your ticket.
  7. Alot of online groups have been running petitions lately, like the rage against machine for xmas no1, and the lets beat up those sicko's who will parade at the barracks. So I have came up with our own little challenge, lets see if we can get a minimum of 50k fans at the WBA (H) and see if we can beat our own CCC record of fans at the game. So don't just agree, actually go and buy a ticket; http://www.nufc.talent-sport.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/standAndAreaSelection.aspx?stadium=NS&product=WBH10L&campaign=%20%20&type=H Ticket prices start at around £20 for an adult ticket. P.S. If your a season ticket holder, make sure you actuallt attend, and get everyone you know who isn't a season ticket holder to purchase a one off ticket.
  8. Stoke are 1-0 up by the way. Anyone else think Fulham's away shirt is very similar to the purple one we had last season?
  9. If they are, then I will go for one that is 2 sizes up then what I usually am. Simples.
  10. I'd much rather in addition to the Champions League, the world club cup was reformated, so that the winner of each highest league from every FIFA country was awarded a place, this would be a straight knock out formation untill we eventually got a winner.
  11. How could you justify each team being garunteed in the league every season though?, I mean who is to say the teams left behind in the normal leagues don't progress and become better clubs then those in the Euro Super league? In my view if the top clubs want to go into a Euro Super League, let them, but don't let them come back ever, also we must not let them in any of our cup competitions either.
  12. I'd stay with Burnley untill atleast the end of the season. Buy a stirker or someone to get some more goals, thats what they seem to need, hopefully keep them up, then go to Bolton or someone else. You then become a Burnley legend and don't jepodise that with the 2nd season syndrome that will no doubt hit them next season if they stay up.
  13. I've heard Burnley are lining up an orange in Hull if Coyle goes.
  14. Anyone else thinking he's only signed a pre-cotnract for when his current NUFC deal runs out?
  15. A striker/forward usually has his best years between the ages of 26/28, Beckford is 26, a League 1 striker, and not even currently the top scorer at that aswell. I wouldn't mind if he was 20/22, but he's not, he is at his level right now, and I just don't think he can make 2 steps up, especially this late in his career.
  16. Embarrassing. And they call us deluded. In all honesty I think 9/10 of SPur's squad is by far over rated. The likes of Defoe and that I can understand, but the goalkeeper, their defence isn't that good, half of their midfield was bought so noother club could by them, never get a game and when they do they don't perform all that well. Typicall of Rednapp though, everything he touches turns to gold in the media's eyes.
  17. Just read it, I didn't relise his wife was up the duff. Seems that he won't want to move in this part of his life then.
  18. How much did we get for him in fee's, was it just a free transfer?
  19. Good to here, thats £50k off our wage bill.
  20. Leeds will be buzzing, another big draw for them, and another pay day aswell. Fucking shame Sunderland didn't get Spur, Arsenal, Chelsea or Man City.
  21. West Brom away. They can have the cup win if we can have the league.
  22. Anyone else pissed off with the comic strip graphic ITV have for the FA Cup?
  23. I'm just hopeing it isn't Sunderland, anyone but them, testing ourselves against a btottom or struggling Premiership side would be interesting, that is if we get throught the replay.
  24. Nah, Londoner with a manc shirt on.
