So because of the stupid injury time rules, for 2 days in a row the early game threatens to unsettle the broadcasting schedule. Currently we are after 3pm and the 1st half of the 1st match hasn’t even ended. The 2nd match kicks off at 4:30. So any sort of injury time in the 2nd half and this game hasn’t even finished when Sky are wanting to show the next game. Yesterday was similar. The delay and the stoppage time rules meant that Arsenal’s game crept into the broadcast blackout. No coincidence that they didn’t bother with the mega added time in the 2nd half when Arsenal were only just ahead and the 3pm KO’s were about to KO.

A few teams aside, there isn’t anyone you massively fear. Of course the English teams can beat you, but that’s no concern for the group stages. After that you are looking at Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, and PSG. Maybe Napoli, depending on how many of their players they sell. You then look at the other teams from there, the likes of AC, Inter, Benfica, Dortmund, Leipzig, Porto, Seville. You would expect a game from them, but we should be beating all of them. Everyone else below them who we come across would be teams who we should absolutely dominate. It also doesn’t matter how far down the line of getting into the Champions League we are, we will always have this awareness about managing the 2 games. Spurs had the same dilemma, but correct me if I’m wrong, once they broke into the Champions League places, they stayed there until last season.

It would have been a much tighter game if Villa had dropped the high line, even at 2-1. At 3-1, and 4-1 you would have thought that they would drop it just for damage control. As much as Emery has done a great job there, he dropped a clanger in that game, and he can’t repeat that, because any top half team has the ability to just destroy you when you play a high line like that.

I’ve said it before, but the way he stands up and stays strong when being challenged, but still running, reminds me of Henry. I hope that he becomes our Aguero, in the sense that he comes in rated highly, wins things with us, is here for a long time, breaks records, and leaves when he is past his best.

They can fuck right off. They only became the club they are today because in the 70’s and 80’s they got a mega money takeover, and bought all the players up. They were one of the ones who went to break away from the Football League to create the Premier League. Their chairman from that time is now head of the EFL and recently tried to steal football for clubs like Liverpool in project big picture. Just a few month later they tried to create the ESL, which we all know would have been the end for domestic football. Their fans were never really that against it, and you look now, since they lost out on the top 4, they argue for bringing the plans back. The cunts were even begging for an oil state to takeover themselves less then a year ago.

Does it not go back to the late 90’s and early 2000’s when players were starting to get the average persons annual salary in a week and they were doing what they liked? Turning up late, speeding, going out clubbing and getting into fights etc?

The thing is, that’s how it starts. You lose a game you should win, then if you don’t get that win following it, it just snowballs. Over the last 2 seasons, that Everton side have shown that once confidence goes, that’s it.
