We need to calm down. Why is Joelinton giving the referee a decision there? We were in control of the game, and that gave Aston Villa a bit of life just before half time. We need to get a 2nd goal and kill this game off. We should be able to see this out, but this is NUFC, and we are always with a gun in hand, not knowing if we are going to kill the opposition, or shoot ourselves in the foot.

Why the fuck is he doing that?
-
Nah, can’t say for certain he did mean it. One replay makes it look worse than what it is, he’s going at pace. I don’t think he meant it, and I think it’s soft.
-
Sloppy in possession, if we keep the ball a bit, we can control the tempo.
-
Everton are to open at the back.
-
And that is also likely the final nail the Premier League need to go with their closed league, especially if Leeds, Burnley, and Sheffield United all come up with American owners.
-
Got no faith in Everton’s new owner being able to turn things around. Roma have taken a nose dive in global stature since his arrival, and they are onto their 3rd manager this season already.

Hundreds of billions is an old forum joke. However, a new stadium has been estimated to cost up to £4bn, the Sofi stadium in LA cost $5bn.
-
That’s only semi-corporate. Boxes are sold out, and have a waiting list of at least 100 companies.

I know right? Never ever called them Wrinkles, and refuse to do so.

Seen his comedy. It’s full on Chubby Brown, early days Jim Davidson rampant racist deliberately offensive shit.

If we are building an 80k seater stadium, we absolutely should be letting kids/concessions/poor people in the ground at £10 a ticket and doing our bit with community groups to get some people in who wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance. I’m not saying fill the stadium up on them, but somewhere between 1,000-5,000 tickets should be offered this way.
-
You do realise that’s because they are concession tickets, right? If they were ordinary tickets, they would be gone. A similar scenario has happened in every game since the takeover.
-
Arsenal are going bigger, they announced their intention a few weeks back. They want to go up to 80k, but it means that they have to move their roof up, and add a tier. They also need to upgrade a few Underground stations nearby.
-
They have repeatedly said that they only want to write the cheque once. There isn’t going to be a new stadium at a lower capacity, with the possibility of adding another 10k-20k seats in to it. It’s going to be ‘Bang, there you go, fill it!’
-
They have put a pause on it, I fully expect them to rebuild Villa Park as a new stadium.

I no longer have Twitter, you have to be a Twitter member to see replies (including threads). The only way of seeing it is a direct link to the tweet.

Did you know that we are 1 of 25 clubs who can legally call our logo as a badge or coat of arms. We were given the authority to do so with our castle badge. https://www.theheraldrysociety.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/CoA-229-Phillips-paper.pdf

We’ll get one, but not because Burnsie is saying it. Where is the tweet?

The irony that I was pointing out.

Leazes Park is owned by the Freeman of Newcastle, and they make a big deal out of it being so. I also believe they own the SJP land, however the council are in charge of day to day running of both.

Whilst Man Utd are building their new stadium, Arsenal going to expand theirs, Chelsea looking to move, and Anfield still needing 2 new stands, there isn’t a chance that they will propose such rule changes. You also have Aston Villa wanting to do something with theirs, and have just announced a fan zone last week, Crystal Palace starting work on their new stand in the summer, Leicester wanting to build a new main stand, Nottingham Forest building at least 2 new stands, even Leeds want to expand their stadium, and Birmingham City are wanting to build an Etihad like campus. The latter two I know are not in the Premier League yet, but could be in future seasons. So all in all, even if they did try to vote through the rules, they wouldn’t get the required support for it. Once our new stadium is announced though, we’ll just get the likes of Arsenal fans calling us an oil club.
-
65k isn’t enough, and considering they said a new stadium would have a lot more seats than an extended SJP which everyone estimates to hold 60k, it is quite apparent that it would be more than 65k. Personally I think 80k is the sweet spot. We have to consider that since the pandemic, event attendance/demand is on the up. That’s everything from football, large concerts, to bands playing in pubs. We as a club have the duo fa tors of demand being the after effects of the pandemic, and the takeover from Ashley, to a possible trio factor if we gain success.

Aye, but ours would seat people, rather than being an oversized dolls house with lots of plastic figures inside it.

I don’t understand how people fell for it. As soon as you came in, it was impossible not to see how it would turn out.
