  1. Generally, women tend not to like the use of the 'C' word but they don't tend to have a problem with the penis related rude words. That's sexist! I do wonder why you refer to Richard Keys as "Keysie". Is he a mate of yours or something? Is Steven Gerrard "Stevie G" to you too? Thespence is ITK. He met Keys online. He was having some financial trouble on his recent visit to Nigeria so TheSpence loaned him a few quid.
  2. I doubt we'd buy enough. We'd need at least 4/5 quality incomings and no outgoings to compete on all fronts. Why not though? Who's said we aren't going to buy those 4/5 quality players? mike ashley? We got Ben Arfa, Tiote and Gosling this summer. Do you really find it unthinkable that we'd be able to get one more than last year if we got into Europe? As well as Campbell and Perch ... It's one thing signing players, it's signing players of quality that is important. Campbell was always going to be a stop gap and he's done alright in that capacity. Perch was one for the future. We are still yet to see him make the step up but there's time. Way too soon to write him off. I'm pleased with our spending.
  3. This "men wouldn't care" argument is nonsense, by the way. Men haven't had years of being treated as second class citizens. White, English blokes are rarely the oppressed. It's completely different. No it isn't. We live in an equal society, we should be treated equally. So please do shut up. Nope. We don't actually live in an equal society. Women are paid less, on average, for doing the same jobs. There are fewer women CEOs in business, etc and often get less recognition. The dismissive attitude of these two clowns is a symptom of that exact same discrimination. Remind me again... how many female referee's assistants there are in the football league? I think we can agree, it's not exactly a level playing field. That's just so the pitches drain the rainwater off better mate. Sexism isn't right, just like racism isn't. The whole job bollocks is down to sexism from older people in higher positions, it's only really became an 'equal' society in the last 20/30 years so the change was never going to be radical. I'm sure there are many contributory factors we can consider which would give good reason as to why there aren't as many women in high positions. You're missing the point. We don't live in an equal society. Equal pay has nothing to do with specific age groups. Across the board women are paid less than men on average. You're obviously just speculating. Also, referring back to the point at hand instead of going off on a tangent. They've still criticised a woman's ability to do something for no other reason than she is a woman. It's bigotry and can't be defended. Saying "men wouldn't care" is a fallacious argument because men don't usually get that kind of discrimination.
  4. I don't disagree that men wouldn't care. I know they wouldn't care. It's just a complete non sequitur. We have no reason to care. We were never the oppressed to being with. It changes our outlook. Also, sexism isn't ancient history, it's still on-going for all the reasons I mentioned above. Gray & Keys are criticising a ref assistant's ability... not on the basis of her performance, or track record, or anything like that, just purely BECAUSE she's a woman. It's bigoted nonsense and shows that "the struggle" you mentioned isn't actually over, is it? I highly doubt I'd have any suffragettes tutting at me for pointing it out either.
  5. What if it had been a racist opinion? Then it still would have been a private conversation and if people in the room had a problem with it they could have taken the opportunity to re-educate them to their face as opposed to stitch them up by recording and publicising a private conversation. I'm not big fans of either of them tbh but I do think this is a load of hot air. Fair enough, really.

  11. Fucking hell, Coleman. Couldn't hit a barn door. Awful.
  12. big cross in from Guthrie, midway inside the Spurs half, out to the far side where Coloccini was waiting just inside the area. Chest down, one bounce, smack on the half volley, keeper got hands to it but only pushes it downwards, ball bounces into the bottom corner, goal, bob's ur uncle. Fixed. FFS you pedant! I was just summarizing innit Just giving an accurate account... crap goal keeping rather than wonder volley. Bollocks to that. It was a well struck shot from a centre half that the keeper could do no more about! Rubbish. 9 times out of 10 Cudicini would have saved that. Just a one-off error. We got lucky.

  15. Imagine what Ashley would do with that... 17 more Leon Bests.
  16. If by some fluke we do qualify for Europe then Mike Ashley's model is proven right, isn't it?
  17. No protests in the ground. Fans aren't on their backs. Basically, it's your fault we went down in the first place.
  18. Playing in Europe generates more money though. Consolodate and push for the big one.
  19. Personally, I'd prefer us to have a good cup run next season than be burdened with exciting mid-week ties out at Lokomotiv Sarajevo.
  20. We're 7 points off the mackems, only above Stoke and Bolton on goal difference, 2 points ahead of Blackpool who have a game in hand, and only 1 point above Liverpool who've suddenly remembered how to play football. Europe is highly highly unlikely. We're finish around 9th, 10th, 11th.
