  1. Niko Kranjcar. Even when fit he doesn't get a game.

    Nile Ranger

Ranger is quick and lively. Much more effective coming off the bench for that reason. Lacks a touch of quality at the moment. Could develop into a good player, though. Some similarities with a younger Walcott.
  3. I beg your pardon!? Let's just keep it at piss, OK? We should be charitable and offer him jizz as a possible substitute. All of us? That's one parcel the postman will regret stealing. Worst chain letter in the history of mail, tbh More of a necklace than a chain...

  5. Agree, sadly. Sloppy but full of running and still usually central to any good passing moves we've had.
  6. I thought the same. Sure they had already mentioned Beardsley was in charge for this game.
  7. If Barton, Carroll, Jonas and Nolan put in a shift today, I can see us winning this. Otherwise we're going to get fucked. Prediction: 3-2.

    Papa Waigo

Didn't even look that quick when I've seen him. Poor man's Shola, if anything.
  9. Step-up Beardo ...could probably still do a decent shift as player/manger.
  10. It won't be Shearer, but he'd be my first (realistic) choice.
  11. What benefit would there be to sacking Hughton before a take over? His contract is up shortly, anyway. Sacking him could be done at any time with minimal cost implications. No actual gains to doing it now but it does create a whole shit storm of problems. Crap thread.
  12. I was starting to believe they had learned from their mistakes. Now this. Same old bullshit. This has pissed me off even more than the Keegan & Shearer episodes. Quietly raging. Bunch of cunts.
  13. Bad timing. I also expect it's not as simple as being sacked. I imagine there was some sticking point with contract negotiations, too. In terms of results, I think Hughton could have done better, particularly against the smaller clubs. However, in terms of morale I think this is going to be disastrous. Hope to fuck they sort it out PDQ. Cheers Chris, got things done with minimal fuss. Top bloke.
  14. I remember mentioning him shortly after he went to FC Saturn. I was shot down quite quickly, too. He was alright for Lecce... probably not as good as his brother but is decent in dead ball situations. Now he's a bit older can't see why we'd sign him unless it was on the cheap.
  15. Tiote trotting through midfield instead of closing down the runner. Unlucky with the deflection. Also... they're a bunch of cheating cunts. They might be winning already if they played football instead of throwing themselves on the ground at every opportunity.
  16. I filled the lass' "number 2 position" last night.
  17. Mid-table and below... sure. Don't think you can say Chelsea, Arsenal, or the Manchesters only have 3 good players. Stoke, Blackpool, etc probably have fewer than 3. Definitely accurate for West Ham.
  18. Given? N'Zogbia? Both wanted to piss off, anyway. Decent prices given the circumstances. Sure, if 5 million over three years is the going rate for the then best keeper in the league second choice keeper. Fixed. Sure, if fixed means 'not fixed'. I'm confused how you think he was second choice at the time? He was our first choice, he was their first choice and he was Irelands first choice. Hyperbole to point out he wasn't "the best in the league". Less than a year on and he's their second choice. Before leaving Newcastle there were also regular proposals to give Harper a run in the team (ask Midds). Generally considered to be on the decline. He wanted to leave, City made an offer, we took it. We weren't exactly in a very strong negotiating position. Same for N'Zogbia. Instead of focusing on two relatively low transfer fees, have a look at the rest of them. We were ecstatic about Milner and Bassong's fees, were we not?
