What benefit would there be to sacking Hughton before a take over? His contract is up shortly, anyway. Sacking him could be done at any time with minimal cost implications. No actual gains to doing it now but it does create a whole shit storm of problems. Crap thread.

Bad timing. I also expect it's not as simple as being sacked. I imagine there was some sticking point with contract negotiations, too. In terms of results, I think Hughton could have done better, particularly against the smaller clubs. However, in terms of morale I think this is going to be disastrous.
