Surely we should be aiming a little higher than Whittaker?
I'm sick of us missing out on good players from the lower leagues. We could have had Lallana, Dele Alli, Lewis Dunk, Olise etc if rumours were to be believed. All of which would have walked into our first team squad at the time they made their new clubs squads. May as well have a go at some point.

Why on earth are clubs, particularly ambitious ones like us and Villa, voting for this man? Makes no sense.
Unless we know something everyone else doesn't. Maybe FMV or related party bollocks is going out the window too.

Well it can't be a negative thing, otherwise it wouldn't have been voted in.

So we're running with Burnsy's bullshit then
I'd be astounded if we signed anyone from Brighton's first team squad any time soon.

That's a yellow card tackle, why on earth would you applaud that

Having Self awareness on Wearside must be a God-like trait.

Commentators telling us how good Rodri is has become the new "Aaron Wan Bissaka is the best 1v1 defender in the Premier League"

Every time I've seen Gvardiol I've thought he's looked canny. Imagine moving to a shit hole at the age of 22, I'm sure you'd be on top of your game as well

Pep’s recent transfer business hasn’t been that spectacular. Gvardiol, Grealish, Nunes and Phillips all underwhelming compared with both reputation and fee size. I can’t see how they’d had been worse off with some of their stellar youngsters coming in.
At least he's only 22 with plenty time in front if him. The others have been average to poor. My Man City supporting mate hates Nunes, reckons he's one of the worst signings they've made in the last 10 years and is often ridiculed by their fans for being nowhere near good enough. Imagine not being as good as KDB...

What if he's Sadio Mane or Mo Salah.
I'd still rather have Bruno for another 4/5 years.

I know "it's not the same" but there's a certain irony of us frothing at the mouth over having to sell Bruno, Isak or Botman to progress then salivating over the prospect of nabbing relegated/promotion team's best players. Especially newly promoted.
Definitely a food chain ?????
I'm with you to an extent, but both Leeds & Gray have the option of turning down any potential transfer. If both agree to the deal then what's the issue? If Leeds don't get promoted this season he'd be daft to turn down any club at the top end of the PL.
-
If us selling Minteh is the difference between keeping Bruno then yeah, we'd be crazy not to sell. Minteh could yet be the next Demarai Gray or Hudson-Odoi.

His time as DoF was the time I decided to get a ST at Gateshead.
RIP you absolute mentalist.

If he goes to Real it'll be fine. I don't think we're ever going to be a club that's more attractive than them. As long as he doesn't go to Manchester, London or Liverpool I'm fine with that.

Those are the two lads who the club bought houses for the families to move up here. Got a mate who’s son is in the academy and she says the transformation in it since the takeover is massive.
I'm gonna teach my lad how to trap a football. Should be worth at least a 3 bed detached, right...

Love hearing about stuff like this, even if they never make our first team it's great to see us trying.

How on earth Lewis Dunk received an England call up is beyond me.

Why would us and several other clubs vote for that?
