Sorry like, but Mitro is finished here. He isn't even putting himself about. He's doing literally nothing. -
Meh, he wants to come back and play football. I see nothing wrong with what he's said. Happy to give him a chance. Remember, everyone gets a fresh start under Rafa...

Such as who? Bearing in mind we don't pay compensation for managers in jobs Alan pardew That's two people now, Dokko and Neesy, who have said there's better options out there but neither have provided the name of a manager who would be a better option for us yet I think the manager we sacked and he replaced would have more points on the board with this squad. Who would I rather have? Rafa of course, doesn't mean we couldn't find someone to finish off the job dare I say it do better. The real issue is if he stays out of respect to the fans but the players know he wants away, it will kill us. I'd rather him go now. That's still not answering the question I asked about finding a more flexible available manager because McClaren is in a job at Derby and we don't go for managers who are in jobs unless they get sacked or resign, so you still haven't provided a name for a manager. Which available managers are more flexible and would do a better job? You've just said you wouldn't be worried if Rafa walked You can't just rule out manager who are in work because it suits your argument. Same argument that said we'd never hire someone as high profile as rafa in the first place or let him be more than a coach. I'm not ruling him out based on my argument, I'm ruling him out because our board don't pay compensation for managers already in jobs If Mcclaren is the only manager you can name then I've no idea how you can not be worried if Rafa left tomorrow Is that it from you? Who you got, if it's not suitable then case closed. I said the wally simply as its relevant as he'd our last manager, getting Derby going g and we're playing him next. Tbh rafa walks I'd personally go get hughton two birds one stone, unlike players you can't really stop managers taking to other clubs if you buy out their contract. What about Gary Rowett? Nice and cheap, ticks all the boxes. Are you taking the piss? From Rafa Benitez to Gary Rowett? I'd take Rowett right now if Rafa went. He did a fantastic job with Birmingham and never deserved the sack. He knows the league, for those that think it matters.

Why did we ever get rid of Hughton man Would have loved Hughton in charge through the shitty years that followed. He wasn't the greateat tactician or owt but at least he wasn't satan.
-
So it's either challenge at the top or be in a relegation battle? Is it beyond us to finish comfortably mid table like?
-
Aye. I think you're having a laugh. So you're saying we'll get relegated should we go up? See Kanji's post. It should be pretty obvious, like. What's that theory based on though? Just because you have a gut feeling about something doesn't make it 100% set in stone.

Townsend was clearly available, yet was on Palace's bench last night and even got some game time. Yup, clearly available.
-
Not allowed to mate, unless we spend £25 million on a 30 year old.
-
You do realise they just do it to get a reaction, don't you?
-
I for one can't believe we let Bristol City sign David Cotterill. Ashley out.

I have considered it, it looks mid championship+ JJ shelvey. the other Issue is prem clubs strengthening while we hope for promotion and dont- so the chasm to overcome to stay up if we get there just gets bigger. Fuck off man. no we were shit when shelvey was missing. If shit equals second place in the league then I'm glad we're shit. come on, the momentum was moving away from the play offs when Shelvey was playing, and slipping back towards them without him. and you well know it. Nope. Stop going on as if every team below us are going to win all of their games, because they aren't. And neither are Brighton. There's a long way to go but we've got enough quality to finish at least second imo. Rafa's lack of a plan B is costing us more than Ashley's apparent tight fistedness this season, as much as I hate to say it. ok, we will have to see how it goes. We would have had a far better chance of promotion with a couple of additions. It looks to me like Ashley is sewing the seeds for a mediocre time if we do get promoted, curtail Rafas ambition while looking like they tried. Based on what though? There's absolutely nothing to suggest he'll go either way in the summer, spunking shit loads or giving Rafa nothing to work with.

I'm not worries. Promotion is definitely doable from our position. Nobody other than Ashley and Charnley really know the ins and outs of any of our deals and the real reason we didn't sign anyone. Its understandable why people think the worst with Ashley though and it always will be, we need to remember going into every window that je's the man in chanrge and stop kidding ourselves (especially in January) that we're going to go radge on deadline day spunking millions on average players for the sake of getting extra bodies in, because we're not, and that for me is why we didn't sign shite like Barrow. How many Championship clubs have signed players this January, for reasonable fees by today's standards, that we should have signed?
-
Nah, that striker has scored a lot of goals this season in the "greatest league in the world".
-
Thoroughly deserved as well, Spurs were poor.
-
People rightly concerned will be condescendingly put down. Yep. This just about sums it up. We're second in the league. SECOND. With a 6 point gap over fucking Reading.
-
Agreed

Wanyama just had a shot which broke a chair. It was one of those R1 curlers as well.
-
What's farcical about it? He was supposed to be our back-up if we couldn't land Townsend. Now it looks like we won't be getting either, and a rival has been allowed to strengthen at our expense. So you'd rather we signed players for the sake of signing anyone, which is the exact reason we're in this division... No. I'd rather we signed players that Rafa wants. Barrow was reportedly a legitimate target. He was a loan target, he's clearly not good enough for the Premier League and there's something in his contract about Leeds buying him. To me it sounded like we didn't want him for next season.
