  1. defending as a whole is rather going to s*** in recent seasons, hell the only premier league team with what I'd call a good defense is Chelsea (maybe West Ham too tbh) Aye - Pulis showed last season that if you can organise a side to defend properly with a bit of fret you can easily finish midtable. I think it's one of the reasons why English teams have suffered in Europe. Defending like knackers. No coincidence the PL's CL dominance coincided with Rafa & Mourinho raising the bar in organisation. just have a look at Ferguson over the years, always had a good defense, strange so many managers seem to ignore it and it costs them-see Liverpool last season a better defense and they win the title without any doubt A lot of it is down to just not focusing on the art of preventing goals. Everton yesterday didn't look arsed about defending. No will to close down space, passing angels, clear the ball - nothing. a Moyes managed Everton hammers us yesterday tbh, never would have gotten those chances with him there

  4. well de boers agent did deny he'd move which will obviously have an effect while a few papers linking bruce which brings in the odds. Wouldn't pay too much attention to it manager markets are ridiculously volatile and full of nonsense
  5. not sure why West Ham signed him in the first place
  6. does he have any coaching badges at all?
  7. Guardian saying Beardsley in the short term
  8. sherwood or pulis if we're lucky, I'm anticipating JFK returning
  9. I wonder if Neville will spend 15 minutes pointing out how he should be retrospectively banned...................
  10. you know that dunkin donuts thing that pops up on the advetising boards looks very out of place
  11. What's Felix Megath got to do with this? felix magath avram grant "dream team"?
  12. buyout clause in the loan deal so almost certainly not
  13. Toronto is a career-shattering place, tbh. so I've gathered as a very distant observer still
  14. Either Carver or Beardsley would be very worrying if its internal, Carvers only had 1 go at managing at Toronto where they didn't do very well and Beardsley has only reserve experience
  15. They had to sign him to send him out on loan to get Cerci in this is a very strange deal
  16. I wouldn't say its 100% impossible but I'd be beyond shocked simply on the basis 6 months left why would he sign a new deal and Ashley will try and get something for him now or at least remove the wages for the rest of the deal
  17. we know its going to happen and the no manager thing will have a nice little excuse for signing nobody
  18. He's taken up gardening. good way for Ashley to cut costs and make some money for his new love Rangers offloading him here............
  19. Mark Douglas ‏@MsiDouglas 8m8 minutes ago Quick plug: Sissoko #nufc future update on Chronicle Live at 10.30pm. wonder who he's being sold to
  20. after sir bob I think, he had just taken over at Birmingham as I recall
  21. The Mail though. fits with ashley previous though and apparently its sissoko who I'd be shocked if he's still here at the end of jan
  22. Ashley is never going to sign a manager who is in a job. On the other hand, he's not likely to be in one for much longer. 6 months left on his contract vaguely possible
