No, they are not. Rooney, RVP, Evra. Thats it really, everyone else is average or on the decline. evra's one of the ones they need rid of.

same opinion hell I'm starting to fell sorry for Moyes, never imagined feeling sorry for the Manchester United manager

good post and nice summation. I can imagine their chairmans frustration alright, 2 years ago league champions and the vultures of football have just picked apart the team.

good result for us I suppose

I've not know a Newcastle manager to have to field so many questions about our players leaving since the Carroll nonsense. Whether that be Jose, Barton, Ba, Tiote, Coloccini, Yohan... I don't think it's because Pardew wants to talk about it particularly, it's just the first lazy question every journalist asks when players are doing well, or in the case of Colo, rumours of a juicy story just won't die. He fields so many questions because he's happy to give an answer. Wenger was asked about transfers yesterday and refused to answer, that was the end of it. wengers asked about incomings, everyone knows theres no point asking Pardew about that because he knows as much as we do.

hope both teams find a way to lose at the same time (no I don't care that thats impossible)

Enrique but not much of a profit, entirely different circumstances too. Best too I suppose

by my count 1 or 2 for AVB Ah right, cheers. I was wondering because Sherwood has been in the job just over a month, i couldn't see how he could have won 5 on the trot himself. yup league only starting with Fulham in december while AVB was in charge. But why mention minor things like facts

this game is going to be horrific isn't it
-
going overboard but clearly he did a fantastic job there over the entirety of his time there, pity about the football

What bothers me is the message it gives the player, it's not 'we're going to fight to keep you so don't bother agitating for a move' it's 'well if somebody bids for you...' That's the message you choose to interpret it as though. In reality we have shown we'll fight to keep players, as Cabaye knows all to well. Is fight to keep the player or get the fee we feel he's worth. Slightly different reasoning imo. Is that any different to any other club in the league? same for vast majority, only exceptions are Chelsea and City but normal logic doesn't apply to them.

It's a no brainer but I do worry about Pardew trying to keep Taylor "happy" by continuing to play him at CB - Pardew has had priors. yeah but not for the previous 6 months.

by my count 1 or 2 for AVB

got the talent but his attitude stinks to high heaven much prefer to sign Carroll over him Because Carroll lives the role model professional footballer lifestyle? Or maybe not... Carroll will actually try all the time, Adebayor tries when he's looking for his next payday

nah they just seem generally insane there.
-
after the Carroll debacle he clearly will never again be so forthright with statements as he was then that the player is staying. Changes nowt anyway, if he said he's definitely staying no matter what blah blah blah everyone would assume he's lying anyway and clubs know our stance on our players ie bid big enough.
-
Adebayor scoring like this is usually a temporary thing too until he gets his next payday. Once he has that he won't care
-
He's really not like. Aye, not at all. 'Screaming' that was he? Honestly, I just don't get it. There must be some perverse pleasure to people winding themselves into a froth over the snippets we pick out (this one seeing him seemingly answering a question with a standard straight 'no shit Sherlock' answer). What actual evidence has there been to suggest we have any sort of policy to flog our players at the first hint of a profit? Heck, one could quite easily argue that we have been actually better at keeping the decent ones over the past few seasons than at almost any time over the past few decades. trust ashley to screw everything up, can't even pull off being a selling club right

Not sure if idiot. ok maybe I exaggerated a bit there but the 1 in games like that really does bug me.

was just thinking that myself
