  1. Luke Edwards ‏@LukeEdwardsTele 1m #PSG knew £14m bid for Cabaye would be rejected by #nufc so assume it was made in hope it gets the player to misbehave again a la Arsenal
  2. Man Utd 3-0 Cardiff Norwich 1-1 Newcastle Southampton 0-3 Arsenal Swansea 0-0 Fulham Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull Liverpool 2-1 Everton Aston Villa 1-1 West Brom Chelsea 4-0 West Ham Sunderland 1-1 Stoke Tottenham 1-2 Man City
  3. Pete O'Rourke ‏@SkySportsPeteO 1m Blackburn have rejected a bid from Norwich for Scott Dann. #ncfc #brfc
  4. The last round was far worse. that at least had some interesting things happen this has just been a bloody dull procession for the big boys
  5. this has been a bloody awful round of FA cup
  6. really depends on who's doing the leaking. It could be an agent (in specific Cabayes one) to try and draw out another bidder quickly-ie get in now man utd before he goes to psg and get a higher wage for Cabaye. If its the club then either to set it up for blaming cabaye wanting to go and being forced to sell him standard clubs pr for selling someone or try to draw out other bidders to force a bidding war to maximize value. Also fairly standard stuff. the unlikely 3rd option is PR that look we can hold off even the richest clubs in the world look how great JFK is at his job
  7. they pass sideways and backwards in their own half now apparently that counts as attractive these days.
  8. doubt it. Might be the case Pardew receives orders not to play him mind.
  9. what in gods name happened to him, he was good at one point
  10. he's 28 in the prime of his carrer and maximum value a french international and in the form of his life and we're talking about mike ashley. Where in gods name do you get the idea he'll just let him go cheaply based on any evidence at all? What? This isn't my opinion this is me speculating as to why we may not get as much as we should. while based on all evidence provided I can't see a way we'd let him go for less than £20m

  12. Young English striker going to a club who were being paid £50m for one of their players. Completely different situation. For the record, I'd tell Cabaye he can leave at the end of his contract, and not before, but we all know that's not gonna happen. And get nout for him? I know all this "running the club as a business" malarky has been done to death, but that is mental. As mental as the idea of the player accepting it and staying here without any fuss Hence why Cabaye has all of the power here. Well done on proving my point like ;-) He doesn't actually, we've already shown we just won't give into him if he throws a hissy fit and theres a world cup in 6 months.

For the record, I'd tell Cabaye he can leave at the end of his contract, and not before, but we all know that's not gonna happen. While the linked clubs this time are one with a bottomless pit of money and not afraid to spend it in PSG and a desperate Manchester United who are not short of money either. Plus with plenty of time left on his contract and previous where the club just won't say ok you can go when Cabaye threw a strop in August wanting to leave we're in control of this one.
  14. Bet it won't take much more. £17m would do it I think. We know we'd only get about £12m in summer anyway. Why would we only get £12m? Is his contract up in 2015? (Genuine question) 2016. Basically he is talking crap Crap? Cabaye has all of the power here and everyone knows he wants to leave. As much as we rate him, he's not worth the figures this forum is branding about, basically because he plays for us. in a market where Fellaini is worth 28m and with PSG who are hardly financially prudent interested and with less than a week left in the window he's worth as much as the club wants to ask for him which won't be low.
  15. usually not the sort of club that has basically a bottomless pit of money.
  16. Bet it won't take much more. £17m would do it I think. We know we'd only get about £12m in summer anyway. based on what? We're under no obligation to sell and it being late in the window will only drive the price upwards
  17. whats with these stupidly low bids for him btw? They have to know we'd never sell at that price
  18. tbf its normally only the 2 years left mark when most clubs think of renewing contracts and as of now I highly doubt he'd sign any new deal, only real situation I can see him signing a new deal is if it had a very clear airtight release clause and probably lower than we'd want it at.
