which is ashleys plan why should pardew let him win by giving him what he wants when he can continue to do his job and if ashley wants him out let him pay him off in full This is it. The situation is so ridiculous now where Pardew wont quit knowing that's what Ashley wants and at the same time Ashley wont sack him. I can't recall ever seeing such a stand-off at another club, probably because 1) most other clubs don't deal out 8 year contracts to the manager for no reason; 2) most clubs aren't as tight as us; 3) most managers have an ounce of self respect; 4) most owners put the needs of the club first, the daft fuckers. no they don't its all about covering their own ass at all costs

If he had any semblance of integrity and professional pride then he'd perhaps have a little of my respect. But he doesn't. would you walk away from a big payoff when its fairly clear your boss would prefer if you did? I wouldn't Even just saying something beyond arselicking 'Mike' every day would be a start. Something controversial. saying something against ashley in public (ie putting him in for some of the blame for last season) is what started this And this is meant to make me NOT think he's a cunt? nope just pointing out pardews position, hes in a no win situation taking flak for things he has nothing to do with having to report to Joe fucking Kinnear of all people and being ignored in what he thinks (the guy in charge of the 1st team) is best for the 1st team. Its an awful situation and its only going to get worse

Andy Milligan @ItsAMilligan 2m Joe Kinnear has apparently made a huge transfer breakthrough. He's found a bloke who can transfer all his old Wimbledon VHSs to DVD.

It would and he does, but from the evidence so far he's certainly not a Premier League footballer. on current evidence so far very few of our squad are of a premier league standard

from George Caulkin via some tweet longer thing to united for newcastle on twitter Couple of things. Firstly and most seriously, it's important you know that your frustration, dismay, disappointment - all those things - is understood and appreciated. It really is. It's also shared. I've watched NUFC all my life which - I'm 43, although look MUCH younger - includes a large proportion of time outside the PL and a lot of mediocrity. It's an old, old, old refrain, but I yearn for the day when supporters have a club worthy of their support. I've long since given up holding my breath. Secondly, that frustration is channeled in the media. If you've read Lee or Mark's pieces recently, you'll know that. I've written about Joe Kinnear. In the past, I've written a long piece in the paper which repeatedly stated 'Ashley Out'. At the moment, short of putting our hands around Alan Pardew's neck, shaking him vigorously and shouting "WHERE HAS THE MONEY GONE ALAN? ANSWER ME ALAN?" there's not a lot more to be done. I had a decent relationship with Derek Llambias - for all that I hated some of the decisions - and used that to get steers on signings or non-signings and was able to ask the sort of financial questions you mention. There was a plan. A structure. There's now a vacuum. Persistent attempts to get answers from Mike Ashley have got nowhere and Joe Kinnear's evidence simply isn't reliable. We can observe, attempt to explain and criticise, but the people who need to be asked 'the hard questions' aren't listening. But at least have a look and see what's out there. There's a lot of froth, I'd grant you, but there are some good, hard-hitting articles, too. Thirdly - and this is the least important part, but I want to say it anyway - I'm not on twitter to provide a rolling news service or, indeed, counselling for anger management. I'm here because I choose to be. I enjoy the conversation, the exchange of information and opinion. Sometimes it's black humour, but I'm also here to have fun. I don't want to spend my working life feeling constantly angry, because I've done that before and it's corrosive. Think of the 'joke tweets' as my way of showing my frustration. Best wishes, George.

right someone explain those rules to Spurs and Sunderland as they would have massively increased their wage bill Have Spurs though? Sold Bale, Caulker, Huddlestone, Parker and Dempsey. Sunderland have sold Mignolet, Elmohamady, McClean and Kilgallon. Impossible to say how much they have increased their wage bills as anything mentioned in the media is speculation. Spurs broke their transfer record 3 times, its a reasonable assumption those new players are getting paid more than the previous lot

OptaJoe @OptaJoe 33s 12 - Shane Long was involved in 12 PL goals last season (8 goals, 4 assists), the same number as David Silva. Measured.

proving us all wrong here and just how great a director of football he is.............

would that just leave WBA with Anelka up front? what are they playing at there? And I thought our transfer business this summer was bad
-
without selling someone first? Are you trying to bankrupt us?!!
-
Sky Sports News @SkySportsNews 33s We understand West Brom striker Shane Long is leaving the Rep of Ire team hotel to speak to Hull City. #SkyDeadlineDay that would be daft by WBA

And with more to lose. oh I don't know, relegation these days is rather costly True, we're not going to go down though. I wish I could be as certain but so long as the specter of JFK hangs over the club I'm considering it a strong possibility Aye, like it'll be his fault if we go down with this squad it will be when he takes over in the dugout

Hmm, any hints as to who it might be? lol Where was that photo taken? That picture. Man Utd btw... its also a doctored pic of De Gea signing
