at West Ham he certainly tried to play football in the "west ham way" can't say I've seen a lot of Watford this season but can't imagine he'd suddenly turn into a Pulis clone in the meantime
-
hard to say, he did alright at West Ham in difficult circumstances with the takeover and the porn barons basically undermining him at every possible opportunity and got sacked for keeping them up and replaced by someone who got relegated that season and relegated them the next season. Watford is whats really hard to call, he'd done well to get them 3rd obviously but how much is down to the level of players they have on loan no one else in the division could reasonably be expected to be able to get.

probably the next Chelsea manager (can't see Mourinhio going back there)
-
couple of interesting things Ian Dennis @Iandennisbbc 30m Im told parachute payments from Premier League next season have been finalised. In excess of 60m staggered over 4 years for relegated clubs http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/16/qpr-bank-loan-tony-fernandes

every manager has an excuse at the ready, criticize him for many things for having excuses and attempting to shift blame isn't one of them because anybody we get in (if pardew does leave) will do the exact same
-
you could do the same for any manager, they all look for excuses and reach for the easiest available one, fergie's one is often moaning about the amount of injury time or some other blast at the officials, Wenger loves picking on officials or oppositions style of play, go through any managers post loss soundbites and you will rarely find an admission he got it wrong

I think if they go down Dave Whelan's hand is significantly weakened to be honest. If MA and DL wanted him, it might be a long, drawn-out affair but I most definitely don't think it would be a complete non-starter. I'm not sure he's worth a long drawn-out affair, fact is for all his pretty football Wigan have made 0 progress at all under him and still have the same problem of not doing f*** all in a season until its spring while other less fashionable managers at Wigan have done better eg Bruce finished 11th with them Not saying it's who I'd want if we did sack Pardew (and I don't think we will) but at the minute it's the most realistic option. FWIW as well I think Bruce had a better squad of players while at Wigan than what Martinez is currently working with. a fair few he got himself and sold on for big profits which Martinez has largely failed with his one big signing flopping badly in the form of Mauro Boselli

nope signed a new one a few weeks ago for 2 years
-
the fact Whelan hates Ashley with a vengeance means go down or not he'd do anything to keep him from coming here imho

read that yesterday alright don't know much about him but this picture amused me http://answers.bettor.com/images/Articles/thumbs/extralarge/Fernando-Amorebieta-taking-Liverpool-interest-seriously-175246.jpg

That's OTT, the truth is somewhere in between. As I said the other day, there were plenty of times I left SJP really happy with the result but pretty unimpressed with how we'd got it, but it's garbage to say we didn't play good football full stop. definitely did play some good football 2nd half of the season once HBA was up to speed, 1st half yeah it was a bit more solid and pragmatic but it was hardly horrendous to watch

its unfortunate that she's more prominent than she really should be as she's about the only assistant ref that I could recognize and name on sight and the way the media has gone out of their way at times to praise decisions she's made comes off as condescending.

Smells like trying to force Liverpool / Carroll into accepting West Ham's terms. does sound like that, probably won't work and he could end up trying to loan him again. Leaves Liverpool in an awkward enough situation with a high wage they want rid of but pride won't allow them to take too ridiculous a loss on him
-
not many defend him, it's more some (me included) dont blame him for cabaye being cack the last few weeks, for sissoko being likewise, i doubt he told debuchy to look ordinary. for all i think pardew should be getting more from our squad theres still a nagging in my back of my mind from stoke and fulham about playing in europe and the effect it has. which is why I believe he should be allowed to start next season and see how we're doing then if there's no improvement (assuming all goes well transfer wise and theres no sudden grenade taken to the squad ala carroll deadline day) then would be the time to sack him but he imho should be given the chance to prove last season wasn't a fluke

last 2 premier league jobs, relegated bottom of the table
-
moyes is a good manager doing a good job and I honestly can't see him leaving Everton atm, the contract delay is just to maximize his salary
-
He'll not get a CL side as he's said he wants to stay in the Premiership. he'll still want to get one, hence why he was unemployed for a good while after Inter
-
Honestly I'd still have him for next season, theres no one currently unemployed who is that appealing to me (and thats the realistic front for a mew manager) And another season of anti-football is more appealing than getting anyone else in? not if its just any idiot usually mentioned when a job opens (eg mark hughes alan curbishley etc)
-
Benitez wouldn't cost much. other than wages and that he'd want to go into a cl side based on evidence available
