Been out all day. Had to miss the game (thank god). But what the fuck. 6-0? Words can't describe the embarrassment, and i didn't even see the shambles

What level did you play at? On the note of referees... I really wish ANY dissent would immediately get a booking of the ref. It would soon stop players behaving like wankers after every decision that's for sure. If only the FA/UEFA and FIFA had the balls to really help implement this.

Exactly, every time the goal-line technology debate comes up I raise this argument. The goal line is the least of our worries. True. I think there should be video review for every big decision, so goals/red cards/penalties. I agree to a certain extent, but was discussing this the other day in relation to how far you take it. Do you review every single offside decision given or just ones that lead to a goal being allowed/disallowed? Do you review every single phase of play before a goal? Say, for example, the ball is played over the top and Cisse would be one on one with the keeper, but Cisse is incorrectly flagged offside - do you review that kind of decision? If you do review it and realise that Cisse wasn't offside, how do you rectify it? You can't recreate the exact scenario.. Dead simple. A team gets two reviews a game. (like in cricket) If you get it right you keep the review. If you get it wrong you lose it and you only have one review left. Or indeed you only get one review a game at the start so there's more chance you use it wisely.

I'll try again, then... I dont know- but a wild guess would be he celebrated a mackem goal? Think this must've been the only likely explanation, but it was pretty horrific to see first-hand. The lad took a pasting. Fighting, fair enough, but when it's people stamping and kicking at someone on the ground it goes too far for me. I'm assuming from the venom a few were spitting that they'd warned this lad already though, now that I think back, someone was shouting at one of the stewards that they should've had him out earlier (as though he'd been flagged and f*** all was done). In terms of the actual beating the stewards did f*** all again, police turned up five minutes later when it was all over and some woman had to then be escorted out on a stretcher thing by St. Johns with what looked like a panic attack from witnessing it all. There was fighting at the end of the game in the SE Corner low down between a teeanger in a Polka dot shirt and a bloke. He was mouthing off and it all got quite nasty tbh. I have no idea what started it, but the stewards were horrendous at diffusing the situation.

I'm sitting here just laughing man. There's nothing else I can do. It's because you know they'll never live it down and you know Pardew will still be here tomorrow

I can imagine Sunderland having this team talk on Sunday

Is Rowan Atkinson really Geordie? Don't think I've ever heard him talk normally before. Born in Durham and went to Newcastle Uni

Benfica. We're not going to be in Europe for a long time so let's go for it. We'd still probably beat the Mackems regardless of how we play on Thursday anyway
-
It's true though :'( I'll be amazed if we win today - fucking hope we do though

Super Ali Gupter is in that video offering an expert analysis of the incident.

Four years ago relegation was an inevitability and i didn't expect much from our remaining 8 games or whatever it was, particularly after a season with 4 managers and a squad full of arseholes. It's awful that I'm expecting the same thing to happen today/rest of the season with the squad we ave and the position we finished last season

BREAKING NEWS: BEN ARFA INJURED THIS MORNING AT BRUNCH AS HE TRIPS OVER A BAGUETTE

I distinctly remember last season in the pub going through our results in the programme and complaining about how many points/wins we were dead fortunate to pick up. This was when we were 4th/5th and everyone was licking AP's ring piece. Last season really was a huge fluke with some quite frankly unbelievable goals scored that had nothing to do with how we had set up to play. This season is the same but without that luck.

What can Pardew do about that? I mean he does them in training but what can he do if the players simply don't score from them/defend them properly in a match? What can he do? How about his job I was being sarcastic Just using the ridiculous line of reasoning that Pardews lovers use to excuse a whole manner of his failings to show how absurd it is. pardew gets an insane amount of leeway from some people like, 3 points off relegation 7 games to go A point people seem to forget regularly. But its not his fault, he only trains with them every day and has done for the past 28 months, and he only had the highest spend in January compared to other managers. To be fair to him its the players fault that we haven't scored from a corner since October 2011 too
