  1. Also, Fati's contract is not really up. We can extend it for two years unilaterally, but that would piss him off (since he deserves more than youth team wages).
  2. According to reports he's already agreed to a new contract and will be announced tomorrow. But after what happened with Messi... Not counting my chickens!
  3. About Dembelé I will say the same I've been saying the past years. All the talent in the world, but injuries and lack of professionalism will prevent him from making the most of it. I will still hate losing him on a free, but if he sings for you, I can certainly live with that.
  4. What's this wall? I guess it can't be listing every player to play for NUFC...
  5. So, Laporta already with the shenanigans. Yesterday was Barça's general assembly. In the order of the day, among other things, was a controversial reform of the club's bylaws. Among other things, it suspended financial liability for the board in case things go south during their term. It increased control over fan clubs. They couched it with other desirable reforms (like a diversity hiring mandate) but the board was likely going to lose the vote. So Laporta decided to postpone the assembly and will now try to get time to win the votes, or just hope that opposition voters will not show up a second time. Boards are usually able to pack the assembly with loyal voters, since these assemblies are usually poorly attended.
  6. Just temporarily this time! Fati is the truth.
  7. According to RMC Zidane turned you down. https://chicagotoday.news/sports/zidane-refuses-to-coach-newcastle/ I don't think it would've worked, anyway. He was great at navigating the dressing room and club politics at Real Madrid (not an easy feat), but that's not your situation.
  8. I have also seen you linked with Dembelé (alongside a thousand other clubs). He's a brilliant player, I used to think he was the most naturally gifted player in our squad after Messi. But I don't think he has the discipline, professionalism and fitness to make the best of his ability. That said, his contract runs out this year so I assume he's relatively risk-free (high wages, but you probably don't care anymore).
  9. Yeah, but I think it's a mental thing, his injuries have never helped getting a run of good form either.
  10. Lucho said he thinks he has better players than him. While I can concede that, it's weird he hasn't been capped more.
  11. Yes please. More seriously, don't. He's finished.
  12. He plays like somebody ripped off his soul and locked it inside a jar, though. I don't know, maybe a move back to England might rejuvenate him. He's just 29. Please, buy him.
  13. Trouble for Joelinton, indeed.
  14. Our rags are linking you with Coutinho. Pretty please with sugar on top?
  15. People are comparing the current crisis with what we went through in the early 2000s, after Rivaldo left. At the time you were richer than us, too. But we'll be back (I hope!).
  16. Had half a bottle of Ribera del Duero, I'm drunk already. This is weird.
  17. As someone pointed out, nearly same midfield that looks utter shite for Barça bossed Italy yesterday. He's doing a terrible job even given the circumstances.
  18. He was 4 when Xaviesta burst into scene. Mind-boggling.
  19. Yeah, which makes Koeman's management more criminal. But we are too broke to fire him. Still, there's reason for hope in the future. We do have a nice crop of talented young players.
  20. Hey, we probably can be had for a bag of chips and some lint. Congratulations on being rich, by the way. You lot surely deserve some football happiness.
