1-3 Against Villarreal. A bit of a lucky win, but we had torrid luck so far this season. First away win of the season, which is silly. We are top of the league at home, though.
-
Our press is again heavily linking you with Dembelé. Apparently you're outbidding our contract offer (we're broke). ManU would also be after him. Again, if we lose him to you, it's something I could live with. If Dembele gets his head down, and overcomes his injury problems, he's fantastic player.
-
We played much better, but we just can't score. Well, Bayern will stomp over us and that will be it. EL awaits!
-
Halftime here. I'm fucking soaked. Messi left because he didn't think he could do it on a rainy Tuesday night in Barcelona!
-
So, it's raining cats and dogs here, and we're lining up a forward line of Demir-Depay-Gavi. This is not promising to be a glorious European night.

He had a couple good seasons with us, tarnished by his CL record. He always had us looking reasonabily solid, but he had a bad record in high-stakes games, never seemed to have answers when things got tough. But his performance in the league was very solid. Then again, he coached Messi.

Pedri wins the Golden Boy with the largest share of the vote ever. Just glossing over the past winners list, the trophy's track record is pretty damn good. Even the players that didn't go on to become stars are/were respectable footballers. Maybe Pato and Anderson were the only real flops, and Balotelli to an extent.

Several reports in our media that Agüero will announce his retirement from football next week, due to his hearth issues. Sucks, but can't deny he's had a good run. Best that they caught it in time. EDIT: the club has now denied it.

Over here a Technical Secretary oversees the transfer policy, he's under the DoF who oversees the entire sporting side of the organization. But a lot of times those job titles and organization are a bit muddy.
-
Our Technical Secretary, Ramon Planes, suddenly announced that he was quitting a few days ago, and now he's being linked with yous. Because if I'm looking for somebody working in transfer policy, I'll hire somebody from Barça. Nah, this guy is supposed to be actually quite competent. Laporta wanted to retain him, despite being a Bartomeu appointment. He's the guy that signed Pedri.

They just showed Xavi running some dead ball drills (with him takig the set piece), and I realized he's probably the best set piece taker at the club... All of them were pinged perfectly. With so many subs nowadays he should suit up...
-
And I love Gavi so fucking much. Him, Rodri and Fati keep my hopes alive.
-
I think once Spain gets Fati back we'll make trouble, we are one reliable striker away from competing for stuff again imho. Lucho has done a great job fast-tracking Spain's transition.
-
So, we've resigned Dani Alves... Ah well, gota scrap that barrel. We have no RBs, because the only one we have (Dest) has to play winger because we have no wingers either.
-
Yeah, I'm not sure you can probably have worse injury luck than us this year. Ah well, better for him that they caught it early, and he still had a long and successful career.
-
According to our local media, doctors have told Agüero that he'll likely have to retire from football.
-
Man, always wanted to have some Ex-NUFC playing for us, and I end up with Luuk de Jong Careful what you wish for, I guess...
-
Xavi was introduced today. He said all the right things and was ambitious without taking people for fools. At least the discourse is already miles better than Koeman's "it is what it is" attitude. We'll see when the rubber hits the road. We also have 11 players out at the moment, which is ridiculous. I felt a bit for him when he spoke at length about loving playing with wingers... the only real winger we have is Dembelé, who's perma-injuried. But god, I love so much having him back at the club

Brighton & Hove Albion 1 - 1 Newcastle United (06/11/21)

That probably gets you at least a draw these days. -
And Celta equalizes in the 96th minute. We have been dire in the second half. Even accounting for the injuries.
-
Aaaand Fati goes down. What a shit luck we have.
-
Nico having a blinder. Love our young midfield.
-
Even if we haven't had convincing wins yet, we look so much more positive since Koeman left. 0-2 up away at Vigo now, and this looks more like the team we should be.
-
His retirement was legendary. In the last three games he played for us, he won a trophy in each of them, earning a treble: Copa del Rey final, La Liga clincher, CL final.
