Moriba turned down Spurs and looks like he's bound to Leipzig, who're raising their bid. Honestly I believe we'll regret losing him, although it seems this is what Moriba's agents wanted all along.
-
Memphis has impressed me so far. He's got more in his locker than I had thought,
-
You're allowed to be good... but you can't claim any kind of clout when you're good because rich arabs bought you.
-
Also, if anything has been clear these past few years, is that Messi loved playing with Neymar and sees losing him as the one single misstep where everything started to unravel (and he's not completely wrong). If given a choice, he'll always go to PSG. The year we won the CL with them and Suárez upfront is some of the best football we've played since the peak Guardiola days.
-
Yeah, the thing with PSG is that they aren't even a classic French club.
-
You know what I hate the fucking most? That the pandemic robbed me of watching Messi's last games for us. Since last summer I've been telling my brother than the first game with people back in, we should go, because this could be Messi's last year. But no.
-
Yes, it looks like that's the case. Honestly, looks like a bad deal since La liga will generate more than the fronted amount in the coming 50 years.
-
We should reinstate the death penalty for this tbf. He's actually being investigated for malfeasance during his stewardship of the club (he doctored the club's accounts to hide the fact they paid a company to promote his image in the Internet and berate the opposition/players).
-
My bet is that he'll go to PSG.
-
Unclear. The official release from Barça is that we can't register him due to La Liga rules (the wage cap). Some media are saying there are other motives (he doesn't think the squad can't win anything).
-
I'm going to cry in a corner.
-
Our press, man. Unreliable fuckers
-
The new deal La Liga is about to sign will reportedly facilitate things greatly. We still have to move some players in order to fit Messi under the wage cap, though.
-
Looks like Messi will finally sign today. It will be like a new signing, since technically it is a new signing
-
The news broke out today, and I still haven't seen any local media able to explain what this deal entails. You can perfectly see in some articles that they don't understand shit I assume it's absolutely rotten and this fund (and the assorted middlemen) will make out like bandits at La Liga's expense.

UEFA Euro 2020 Final: England 1 - 1 Italy (Italy win 3-2 on pens)
Village Idiot replied to Disco's topic in Football
I know you lot are probably down right now, but I think that this has been a great Euro overall. Lots of tense games and great matches. Also Donnaruma is a monster, we've been there. You'll be up for it in 2022. Argentina and Brazil aren't looking too hot and I don't see most Euro nations improving massively except maybe France if they sort themselves out and us with more experience (but I think we overachieved this year, too). -
Our reports say it's just the old guard that's up for sale. Which is needed not only from a monetary standpoint. We need fresher legs and younger hearts. Laporta is set to update on the club's situation this Friday, ahead of the general assembly that will take part in June. We'll see.
-
Our press claims we are very close to a deal with Wijnaldum. His agents were yesterday in Barcelona to hold talks with the club. I believe he would be the first former NUFC player to play for us?
-
Glad Villarreal won. For years they have had this golden age but never been able to cap it with a trophy.
-
If you told me back in October-November than we'd finish the season with a chance at a domestic double I'd have told you you were nuts. What a weird year. Still massively worried for the future, mind, given the barely concealed panic among the board regarding our finances
-
Athletic score! Get in!
-
De Jong was imperious today, really coming into his own in these past few games. If we're going to fold, at least do it with a couple trophies...
-
He has been heavily linked with ManU in the past, been linked to Juve in recent weeks. He has all the tools if he gets his head down and gets serious about being a professional, which he seems to have started doing this season (although he's still had his share of injuries).
-
Looks like Dembele doesn't want to resign so we'll be selling him in the summer (we can use the cash anyway). Was afraid this is how it would turn out after he finally seems to have turned a corner this season.
