  1. Wish Sammy Ameobi was a better footballer, he looks like a cracking chap.
  2. He once said he wanted to retire at 40... he'll be close.
  3. http://www.goal.com/en/news/467/turkey/2013/01/22/3691001/sneijder-i-am-no-longer-one-of-the-top-five-players-in-the?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_BN_17 He sounds completely broken.
  4. Diaby Sissoko , sorry man there is no comparison to make , when Diaby is fit , he's up there with Yaya Touré and Busquets So, never. Anyway, regarding Sissoko, best assessment I have found (not): http://www.goal.com/en/people/france/17898/moussa-sissoko
  5. read his dad pulled a colo snr on it saying he hopes Reina would play again for barca as they made him a man and other cringe inducing empty words like that Yeah, I read that His dad also played for us in goal too, and has always wanted his son to follow in his steps; so it's expected that he would be banging the drum now that there will be an opening.
  6. He's also refused moves to Spanish teams. He just doesn't want to leave. I understand and commend the will to try to fight for his place here; it's been proven that once we loan/sell one player we're pretty much giving up on him as a future Barça player, but it's been clear for a while that he won't make it.
  7. We're linked with pretty much every high profile keeper around at the moment. I doubt we'll go for him, but he's the most obvious target since he already played for us. I'm also certain we won't buy any keeper this window.
  8. Just think of the subs Pardew could make, Cisse for Sissoko. :smitten: Aye, he could easily sub in 3 DMs after HT now.
  9. As great as Sissoko is, I don't think that another DM right now is an urgent need for you. Great coup if you can get it in the summer, even if that means Tiote leaves.

    Black Power!

This was one of the first threads that caught my eye after joining How come it never made the Hall of Fame? Legendary thread.
  11. "Mundo Deportivo" claiming that Jonathan Dos Santos has turned down moves to Spurs, Everton and Chelsea. Still can't understand why he refuses to leave, it's been obvious for a couple years that he's not going to make it here and he needs to play.
  12. Some may say like a Wolf. Man, just imagine the pun chains in this forum if Van Wolfswinkel played for NUFC.
  13. Might be a negotiating strategy, but Galliani has said they have given up on signing Kaká this window.
  14. To be honest, if anything that makes you more attractive to players that want to move up to the "big" English teams.

Fair enough, I just googled "Mbiwa shoes" and that's what came up; I admit I have no idea what the guy looks like except he's black and has weird half-shaved hair.

  17. Good for you, dickheads. Want a medal? Every time you say something nasty, I imagine your avatar saying it with that exact same face. It works beautifully
  18. No, it's not banned. It's banned unless you have a medical reason. He stopped taking it before he became a pro anyway. Cheaters use it as adults to gain muscle mass, not height.
  19. Reina already played for us; personally think he would have come good (like he did at Villarreal) had he been given more time, but can't complain about Valdés. His pap already played for us in goal, too. Anyway, seems Juventus have confirmed Llorente's signing on a Bosman.
  20. He probably gained, what, a few inches? His small size is one of his greatest assets. Now, if he were 5'3" or something, would that have tremendously affected his ability? That really is almost too small to play the game, regardless of his incredible technical ability. I think his hormone treatments certainly had an impact on his footballing ability. Hard to say what kind of player he'd be without the treatments though. I thought taking growth hormone or I think TGH its called, was banned in most professional sports. I'm not havin a go Messi is awesome but if most people had taken it, they'd face a ban. I know its for medical reasons but would he be the player he is now without it. What would have happened to Shola had he taken it? Shola didn't suffer from an hormone deficiency disease. You're making it sound like he took them because he wanted to be taller; no, he was unhealthy and he needed them to develop properly as you or me. Plus I don't think what Shola needs is more size...
  21. Don't be so hard on yourselves. You were actually quite sharp in the first half against Reading.
  22. Betis tearing Athletic a new one so far. They've been magnificent this season.
  23. Still remember this prank show where they tricked him into believing that Atlético wanted to clone him, and he completely fell for it.
  24. No, this was Joaquín. You're mixing up tricky but soft Andalusian wingers. But yeah, he's very thick.
