Always thought the madrid move was wrong for him. He seemed to be improving nicely and it was too much too soon. i think he'd be a better fit for valencia or villareal, or us!! Didnt he have a few run ins with jose?? Yeah, relations are reportedly very strained between the two. Mou has criticized him openly ("it's not like he's Zidane") and he's almost never in the squad anymore.
-
Whatever, I don't care enough about your LC to know the exact date
-
So you lot Arse fans today?
-
He's a good athlete and keeps things simple on the pitch. I think he would do, yes. Also has a mean freekick.
-
He only cost them €10m and he isn't getting a game, can't see them asking anything out of order since Mou quite openly doesn't fancy him (he was a Valdano signing).
-
Also, I banged this drum in the winter window, but you should really take a look at Pedro León since all rumors point to his exit in the summer. Real Madrid tends to pay s*** wages to their squad players (they have a very lopsided wage structure) so pretty sure he won't be on much and he's a very productive right winger. If he was getting regular football he'd be a Spain international by now.
-
Marca linking Real Madrid with former youth prospects Callejón (they have a low buyback clause for him, I suppose they want to do a Negredo-type business for profit) and Borja Valero (who is the kind of player they need, imho, since Xabi Alonso is the only one that can direct play in their squad).

Valencia's Miguel has been banned from training with the team, after coming late to training. Think somebody mentioned him a few pages ago, he's as good as off but not sure he's a prudent purchase, despite him being quality.

I don't know the answer of this, but thought it might be fun to discuss. "Passenger" with most medals? David May is the example most usually talked about but probably there are others with more silverware. I know that what constitutes a "passenger" is subjective but we probably can agree on some names. I'll start with Geremi: - 1 La Liga - 2 CLs - 2 Premier Leagues
-
Someone needs to show them David May's "honours". Makes me think of a nice trivia... passenger with most titles? Will look for the appropriate thread.

Most contract extensions are actually done around this time. It's dangerous to leave them until the summer, when the player can move clubs if the talks are protracted. There's less pressure from competing offers now. In the past 2 months Barça gave a new deal to Busquets and Bojan and are holding talks with Alves and Pinto. It's really business as usual.
-
Iker Casillas signed a 10 year contract IIRC. Messi is on a 7-year deal, and I'm damn sure we had somebody on a lifetime contract too. Ronaldinho I think.
-
It was most likely he was on a tiny wage compared to the rest, a long term deal on more realistic terms was fully deserved i agree Yes, I suspect he was on a tiny wage since he was pretty unknown. Probably better update his contract now than in the summer when there'll be other clubs offering him stuff. Also a PR move for you and the other players nearing the end of their contracts.
-
6 months after he's signed and he gets a new contract, probably deserves it mind.

Our next 5 away games: Mallorca Sevilla Valencia Villarreal Real Madrid However, after the Clásico Real Madrid too have Valencia/Sevilla/Villarreal away (plus Atlético de Madrid, not that it matters). If we got of this stretch alive, I think we'll win this league.

First time I've ever been on a Liverpool Forum and TBH I don't think I ever will again. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a262/kevjohnson/scary-cat.jpg -
Turkey counts, they have the same kind of mental fans.

How many teams from the Balkans/Greece have won European silverware? Red Star and...?
-
Villarreal are through. Get in.
-
Cazorla out for Català. Villarreal trying to see this out. EDIT: And Gullón coming for Cani, another defensive change.
-
Loving the fact that strikers seem to be trying scissor kicks again. Nicky Butt, the visionary of the game.
-
Nilmar with another great chance. Tie living up to the hype after the disappointing first leg
-
Cavani coming on. Yum yum.

Stampede after Hamsik's goal. Fortunately nobody got hurt apparently. http://estaticos.marca.com/marcador/futbol/2010_11/europa_league/dieciseisavos/vuelta/vil_npl/images/05_300x195.jpg

Borja Valero is finally turning into a great player too, another that got (kicked) away from Real Madrid.
