Iván de la Peña. Remade his career at Espanyol but always felt he was destined to bigger things than being king of a frog pond. He was overhyped beyond belief when he first broke out from our youth teams and he just couldn't handle it. As naturally talented as Xavi or Iniesta.

He never managed to stay consistently on the pitch without doing something stupid or fucking up his knee. We rated him, but finally got tired to wait. We probably didn't have a role for him after Rijkaard changed our tactics too.

He was always either injuried, banned or getting in fights when he played for us, I gave up on him entirely.

Still can't believe Thiago Motta has earned a decent footballing career.

I have huge respect for Wegner the manager, even if he's a sore loser. I was in London in 2004 and I dropped by Highbury to watch them play, with Pires/Henry at the top of their pomp. At the time we were galaxies below them, in results and in play, and I was left in awe watching those one-twos, that movement, the goals... and wished that some day my team would play like that. Never would I have imagined we'd get there.

Great place, but San Sebastián is much better. One of the most beautiful cities in Spain imho.

Anyway, I'd rather recommend places like Ametlla de Mar or Cambrils for going to the beach or strolling around the coast. They are all near Salou. I, personally, think the best beaches in Catalonia are further north in la Costa Brava but there's no train service there and it can be a pain to get there without a car.

Port Aventura is one hell of a theme park though. Used to work for them, free entrance and queue skipping powers

Something I'll never understand, why do they never take off Cronaldo in all those games when they are cruising. He plays everything, which is commendable, but the season is long and he's played more minutes than Casillas which is ridiculous.
