Bring on Suárez if only to timewaste, I need those FF points.
-
And Liverpool float back to 6th place, improving - for now - on their last season.
-
Some generous bellies on display there

"The game has been very tactical so far" = shit

Incidentally, Torres' U-turn since arriving at Chelsea after all the badge-kissing and scarf-wearing at Anfield is cold as fuck
-
were they relegated that season? I remember they had a few cracking players in their team the time they went down (like Aimar, Ayala, Oliveira etc....) He was on loan that season IIRC, then went on to score 25+ goals for Zaragoza in our second division.

What's holding you back, by the way? In the transfer market.

Mavreaux wasn't even in the squad so it wasn't for him then. Interesting. http://www.lfp.fr/ligue1/feuille_match/53837

Yes thats right, the technical director provides a range of players, the manager and the technical director then decide who to go for, they then try to do the deal, not everyones cup of tea. European system, works for us.
-
Just checked the vid of a goal he scored in Brazil and they indeed scream "Evertoooon!"
-
You should just steal some Toffee songs and take the piss when they come to SJP.

As I said, by all accounts he's the best free player out there, and on form he's comfortably ahead of your current set of strikers. Wouldn't hesitate on giving him a 6-month contract but I suspect he'll ask for a longer one which may be riskier.
-
Heh, seems like he was playing for Real Madrid and Chelsea these past 3 years.
-
IIRC one of the reasons Zaragoza sold him is that he failed to get one and they needed his non-EU player roster spot for Suazo. that would be surprising considering it`s piss easy to get a Spanish passport for Latin American players (2 years residence IIRC) . He was there for 6 years ....but fair enough if what you say is correct. He went on loan to Stuttgart right after he accrued the mandatory two years, and wasn't able to start the process until he returned to Zaragoza (must reside in Spain, and I suspect that leave might have even "resetted" the clock - I'm not that familiar with the law). Also I suspect he was due a bonus if he achieved it (pretty common in Spain to pay a bonus to a player when he gets an EU passport) and Zaragoza don't have a pot to piss on.
-
He isn't, but he'd still be comfortably above your current set of "strikers".

Linked to the Zaragoza gig recently.
-
Didn't stop him last time around.
-
That's how he was called down here at least.

I love watching Lee play personally, the guy is built like a matchstick but has absolutely no fear of running at people and dodging crunching tackles. And he has the end product.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/584/brazil/2011/01/06/2293493/palmeiras-terminate-ewerthon-contract-report Looks like injury related since he has barely played since.
-
FWIW he was at €2m/year at Zaragoza. I think that translates to around 35k/week.
-
Looked like he didn't give a shit last year at Zaragoza but the best free player out there by a comfortable margin. I he recaptured his pre-2009 form he'd be great.
