Atlético, let's see if they put up more of a fight this season in La Liga After so much shit their fans deserve this kind of stuff, to be frank.
-
Question: How? They lost the EC final against Bayern in 1974, who then refused to play against Avellaneda. Atlético substituted them. Ahh, do you know why didn't play them? Atlético fan friend of mine told me that they played in March, and that Bayern were having an awful season so declined to go all the way to Argentina and focus on the domestic competition.

Quick amusing fact, Atlético are the only side to win the Intercontinental Cup without having never won the European Cup (or the Libertadores).

Get in Aleti!

Didn't Kitson go back on loan to Reading in the Championship and was poor? I think he was good at Boro the brief time he was there, plus his prior record at the Championship is outstanding. Surely him and Lawrence are more than good enough to stabilize them there.

Still can't wrap my head around the idea that this side (bar Godín) finished midtable in La Liga, but it's Atlético...

If I was a Milan fan I would be slightly pissed off to see my current player wearing the shirt of his former team but... http://www.sport.es/vivo/recursos/fotos/foto_448/foto_448387_CAS.jpg

A lot of clubs are doing business late, the WC has distorted the calendar.

Lawrence and Kitson are great at that level. I think Pompey have done a good deal.

A few local and regional governments have been bailing out Spanish teams for quite a while. Racing Santander was even owned by the regional government for some time, for example. So its not uncommon what i'm saying. I do believe Spain are in as much s*** financially as the UK no? Yes.

Zlatan's agent just said the transfer to Milan is "almost done". Barça answered with a press release slamming him for undermining the relationship of the player with the club. Heh. In other news Hleb loaned out to Benfica, with a view to a transfer at the end of the season.

Benny Benitez: Parky 6 Benny 2 (Benitez watch.). Inter sack the waiter.
Village Idiot replied to Parky's topic in Football
Interesting that Mou hasn't said anything flashy or cuntish regarding La Liga yet. He's even had some nice words for us/Guardiola even. Guess he's saving it up. -
Completed? On Barça's website. €16m+6 according to the local media. Apparently Milan have balked at our €40m demand for Zlatan. Good. Cheap c***s wanted a loan.

Gago faces one month in the sidelines after Arévalo tackled him during the Madrid-Peñarol friendly. Guy means business.
-
Milan offering Borriello and Huntelaar as part of the Zlatan transfer
-
Aye, the homage Barça paid to him was great and utterly deserved. We have it great nowadays but damn, somehow I miss him :'(
-
Because we are not going to get a replacement in at this time, and our squad is utterly talented but skin deep.
-
Zlatan on the way out after he slammed Guardiola today. Feck.
-
Aye, Ronaldinho had it all (well, he lacked a bit of decision-making, but he had such an unbelievable talent he didn't need it). Such a waste he couldn't keep it. Everytime the ball reached his feet you could feel it around the stadium, the expectation about what was he going to do.
-
vs Sevilla I was there It was one of the biggest "WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED" moments of my life.
-
' Yeah singlehandedly, what about Ronaldinho? Yep, singlehandedly. Despite occasional flashes of brilliance he was as languid as the rest of the team until the pitbull came in. It's weird since we really never had another player like him after the 6-month loan and we went on to great things without him, but he was a catalyst.
-
He singled-handedly saved Rijkaard's first season, took us from 9th to 2nd after we signed him in January.
-
He just took out Gago. Looks like nasty fucker.
