  1. Like...... Tiote, ooooooh ooooh, Tiote, ooooooooh ooooooooooh. He comes from Cote d'Ivore, He's better than Stevie G Tiote, ooooooh ooooh, Tiote, ooooooooh ooooooooooh. Couldn't be arse rhyming them? Sorry, is it not pronounced Ivory? Nay, Ivoire = Iv-wah, French ain't it. Do English people really say "Côte d'Ivoire" instead of just "Ivory Coast"?
  2. Sevilla have released Chevantón. Had completely forgot about him tbh. Rumor is that he's signing for Lecce.
  3. Well, Ajax is a second helping.
  4. So Sevilla are selling another defender to replace one they have already sold? From Valencia to Sevilla. My bad. Downgrade for them anyhow, Sevilla looking weaker than last year.
  5. Ruano from Sevilla to Valencia, done deal. Replacement for Squillaci.
  6. Obviously he now thinks Derby would beat Villa 9-0
  7. I thought he wanted out of england? Okay, time to go back to my old sig I guess.
  8. Catalan radio and press reporting we are in talks with Liverpool for Mascherano, and he won't play tonight against ManCity. We are offering €15m, Liverpool wants €24m.
  9. Google: "UCL Final 09 Barcelona - Manchester Scholes brutal tackle" and open your eyes. I was watching the game with a ManU friend and when this happened he said "Sorry he did that, he just doesn't know how to tackle".
  10. This just in: Marca claims that Chelsea have offered €40m for Ramos. Find it hard to believe, but Marca is usually correct when they make transfer claims regarding Madrid.
  11. Unlikely, they only have two natural #9s (+Cronaldo) and the season is long. Plus I doubt Pérez would allow it since it was one of his galácticos. The guy can become a very good footballer, but seems to be a bit troubled individual.
  12. Apparently Mou isn't getting along well with Benzema, according to Madrid press, and hence wants another #9.
  13. Probably one of the most talented players I've ever seen, he was at his pinnacle for Inter when I started watching them and Italian football. Wasted his talent, though. Fair enough, I remember seeing him during the mid-90s when I sort of followed Calcio. He was class but too injury prone and a bit gutless if I may add.
  14. Any particular reason for your Recoba worship, Sewelly? @M4: How is that possible? I haven't seen the goal but you can't be offside if you're behind the ball. Did he backtrack from an offside position when the backpass was made?
  15. Well, I usually got to watch the August games since I spent my holidays in Barcelona while I lived in NYC, but looking forward watching this kind of s*** live throughout the season We played great, particularly the first half before the players tired. Gotta admit that Sevilla just didn't turn up though, guess they have their heads on Tuesday's game. Zlatan will have it hard to get into the team, we have so much more mobility and fluidity with Villa/Bojan on the pitch.
  16. I'd dare say he overperformed in that season at Swansea, and he's so out of his depth in the PL it's ridiculous. When he was with us he was very average in the Spanish *fourth* flight. I hear he was better for the Espanyol B team, though (again, Spanish fourth flight...)
  17. Looking at that bench I still can't fathom the concept of Jordi Gómez playing in the Premier League
  18. Yay, I'm off to the Camp Nou it's been a while Can't wait to see a Villa-Zlatan-Messi front three, hope Pep goes all out tonight.
  19. Yes, I think Aquilani showed some good things at the tail end of last season.
  20. I said that I don't like the way ManCity are going about things, but I admit I'll nod approvingly if they finish above ManU this year.
  21. Di Santo? Isn't he back at Chelsea?
