I also hope that Del Bosque will eventually realize our best football this WC has been done with Torres not on the pitch.
-
We were shit, blah blah, ineffectual, blah blah, Germany is going to turn us over etc, etc... still SEMIFINALS. At last we broke that fucking duck. Over the moon.
-
Ok. Time to move on. See this photo? http://blog.espol.edu.ec/jonathan/files/2009/01/81-e-ing-gol-de-zarra-2.jpg Telmo Zarra scoring against England in 1950. Last time we got to a semi-final round in the WC. Fucking 60 years ago. I'm fucking tired of growing up seeing that photo. Time to go all conquistador on Paraguay's ass.

They play like England wish they did. Movement, power and precision.

http://photos.vaxlan.net/d/27405-2/Blitzkrieg+Kittens.jpg Wonder who'd get WPOTY if Germany won the WC. None of them has had an awesome season at club level. Müller?
-
Müller man, glad he misses the next game.
-
Would sub Agüero in, he's a way more creative forward than Tévez/Higuaín/Di María and they just seem stuck with hopeful shots whenever they get near.
-
Play Mario Gómez FFS.
-
Shambolic defending.
-
Oh FFS.

US commentators patronizing Maradona. Know your f***ing place and show some respect you spackers.

Also, Pep has said that Zlatan is staying (third time that one of our staff comes out and says so after all the press going on that we are selling him). We have also denied that we have been trying to sign Mata (good). Apparently no offer for Henry has been received. We would let him go on a free.
-
Idiotic move if you ask me. It was just a honorary position without any real prerogative to honor one of our biggest legends. Petty. Cruyff has given up the title voluntarily though. Arguing that he doesn't want to be a nuisance.
-
Real Madrid have signed Pedro León according to Marca. Handy player but Real Madrid level? I guess they want a cheap natural winger to have that option in the squad.
-
Honestly, 90% of the time that penalty would have gone in and Uruguay would be one man down to make up the deficit (if there had been time). The rule is fine but the extremeness (and rarity) of the circumstances is what is pushing people to think it's unfair.

Also, I think the rule is fine. The way it played out at this ending seemed imperfect but we would open a big can of worms if we awarded automatic goals. Can be clear in this case, but it's not always going to be so clear that it was going in.
-
Also, how clueless did Abreu look? When they took Cavani out I thought "good sub" since Cavani was pretty ineffectual, but then they probably played with 10 men.
-
Wow, that's some dramatic s***, was supporting Uruguay but can't help feeling for Ghana going out in this way. Memorable round all the same. Still, Mensah's penalty

Goalkeeping in this WC
-
To be honest after the disallowed goal and then the first goal I thought that Holland would be raped. Surprised when I saw the second half.
-
Still, that was quick. Guess he couldn't be arsed to be driven off a cliff by the Brazil media.
-
Fallout for Dunga is going to be harsh, Brazil media and fans are pretty damn ruthless. I liked him a lot as a player, but I prefer Brazil to play like Brazil. They have won five of the goddamn things doing that.

Which paper was that? El Mundo Deportivo. Our initial deal with City had an expiry date and it had passed without City handing the dough.
