  1. Chelsea v Barca was 5-3 or something 3-1 at the Bridge, 5-1 at the Camp Nou.
  2. naturally i mean whats he ever done Is that not off the balck eyed peas protest? Wouldn't know, just googled "Fergie Out", and this came up
  3. My anechdotal experience with ManU fans is that they are incredibly bitter after last year's final. They'd never support us. Lyon is my guess. Van Gaal
  4. naturally i mean whats he ever done http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/3051/photo0018sb7.jpg
  5. And Real Madrid are playing Granero or Marcelo in Robben's position
  6. The first yellow card was incredibly stupid. Rafael seems to have a bit of talent but he needs to sort his brain out. Still time for him to do it, mind.
  7. AFC Wimbledon losing and kissing goodbye any promotion hopes... I want them to be in the same division as the MK Dons so badly...
  8. Pablo had an amazing season that year. He's never got to those heights again, but he deserved that callup on that year's form.
  9. No. He was a starter in the 2006 WC, though.
  10. Was reading our papers and you're linked to Pablo from Atlético. He wouldn't fill "the template", though. Good tall centreback, his best form was 4 years ago (he's 28) and has been dropped this season by Quique Flores, but he's still very decent. He can also fill in at RB.
  11. I just checked, and your promotion made the international football pages of all major Spanish sports rags.
  12. Agree - the standard of CCC striker has been the worst feature of the league and our defence will face a culture shock when they come up against many of the PL strikers - they are much better, with both pace and movement a world apart. Coloccini struggled against that last season and will do so again - his best hope would be to be the sweeper in a five man back line because his skill on the ball is good and he would be less physically exposed...problem is that our midfield or forwards would then be swamped because we would be a man short in the middle. The Italians used to play that way in the 70s, but the days of catenaccio are long gone. You have to be able to snatch a goal and defend it for 80 mins if necessary and apart from the fact that our defence wouldn't be able to do that, getting goals is going to be a real problem unless we sign a top striker. The rules of the game have also changed, making it difficult for defenders to play cynically as the Italians used to do. Again this is a myth. People think of the PL and in their minds it's like playing Drogba and Torres every week. Elmander? Fagan? Sidibe? Jason Roberts? There aren't *that* many premiership-quality strikers in the premiership.
  13. The brilliance of Messi or Arsenal getting raped? Both tbh mate. I usually just like watching Gooners lose but that Messi masterclass was something else. In a bitter sweet way it was very good. Best team i have ever, ever seen. I hope they win it. Very disappointed not to have qualified but watching them was amazing. Your boys need to start going for it. I remember watching Arsenal at the beginning of the season and you closed down on players and won the ball back with some grit, particularly in your demolition of Everton for example... this seems to have evaporated as the season has gone on. Second half today you just watched us passing it in our own half. Anyway, now go and win the PL. I'll tell Cesc he can stop faking and play for you again.
  14. They just don't have a clue what to do when they don't have the ball for long periods of time, which is why they usually get battered by the biggest teams. I think it was pretty damning how little they pressured our players when they lost the ball.
  15. Arsenal are not even going for it. No pressure on our third.
  16. We tend to concede a lot towards the end of games, and they tend to score a lot towards the end of games, so I guess he wants to avoid that. But one more goal for us and this tie is buried.
  17. Fuck me, best player I have ever seen put our shirt on. Such a privilege to have him with us, may long continue
