Seems Zlatan is definitely out for Arsenal and a doubt against Madrid. Piqué too.

Most goals conceded in a season (42 Game Season): 100, Swindon Town (1993–94) Most goals conceded in a season (38 Game Season): 89, Derby County (2007–08) That Derby season was truly magic. Wonder if the fans would have taken the promotion had they known.

Good moment to repost this (for the very first Gomes bit): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M6dzxcNsNc

We did pretty much the same today. Strangely we played some of our best football of the season. Hope we hammer Arsenal, I'm quite fired up after they equalised last week.
-
Oh, I agree with that. Even if it happened it would be a freak result, unlike last year. Incidentally, Barça (and most surely Madrid tomorrow) has clinched second place, with 8 games to go. The side that wins the title will surely do it with a 90+ point tally, shattering the domestic record of 88. The second placed side will most surely beat the 88 point mark too. Ludicrous stuff.

Football doesn't work that way and you know it. The first game has little relevance to what can happen this weekend.

If Zlatan can't play against Arsenal at least today's brace will give the lad a boost indeed. Agree on the Madrid game (I just hate calling it el clásico, media-manufactured nicknames suck), although I'm afraid our weaknesses as a squad are very correspondent to their strengths this season (very direct and quick counterattacking). We'll see though.

Washington crossing the Delaware? You should teach History, man. I would start the WC warm-up/provocation mode myself, but I would get spammed with Nelsons and Roosevelts :-[

Interesting tidbit, Athletic's leftback Koikili was also a wrestler before joining them three years ago.
-
Ah, our customary stupidly conceded late goal/s.
-
Best news of the night if you ask me. He'd been great this season and I'll feel much better if he starts Tuesday.
-
Man, we are playing so well tonight, couldn't have imagined it when I saw the lineup!
-
Would he though? Chance to be a backup at arguably the best club in the world. He probably would want to think on his career past 25 though? I have seen several youth players on the fringes of our team that disappeared down the ladder due to lack of exposure and experience at the top flight. I think he has enough talent to make it at a decent side in La Liga but he needs to play. Then again, he's training with Messi every day.
-
Pedro didn't play at Tenerife, but yes, they were signed under recommendation of the same scout covering the Canary Islands. To be honest I don't think he has enough for playing for Barça, backup maybe but he'd want more football than that. He's 22 already.

Bojan Puyol playing like he's Brazilian today
-
How bad was the injury? Calf muscle trouble, they are assessing him tomorrow.
-
Get in Jeffren! First senior goal for him.
-
f*** me, Zlatan injuried during warm-up. Take out Messi and this is a mid-table lineup.
-
How many points since Brian Laws took over?
-
Sky math fail.

Weirdass Barça lineup for tonight, Guardiola's obviously resting people for Arsenal: Valdés, Chygrinsky, Piqué, Puyol, Abidal, Maxwell, Touré, Busquets, Jeffren, Ibra, Messi I assume Piqué will play has holding mid (he's actually quite good at it), and Jeffren on the left of the attack while one of Abidal/Maxwell will go to the right. Good to see Abidal starting.
-
Indeed he does. I'm really surprised at how well he has established himself and performed for City since he moved there.
-
Pity, imho.

Newcastle promoted to the Premier League - now, LET'S PARTY!

Congratulations magpies, back where you belong -
Everything seems to be happening for Arsenal, isn't it? Apart from Birmingham's late equaliser last week they seem to pull off a lot of late results by a hair.
