The mind-body thing is a common Spanish idiom. It makes me feel he really fancies it. He's probably worried about his long term career and thus wants assurances about having a team he feels he can take back up at first chance of asking.

To be frank, Real Madrid / Barça away games get packed with plastics in some places (not all). I think it's the first time I celebrate a trophy at the Camp Nou without a single footballer in sight. EDIT: It appears the Granada fans were celebrating they avoided relegation.

Cronaldo still has a CL final to look forward to. He'll be fine.

I'm not watching this game. Two months ago, when we were still +10 up, I thought it would be all said and done by this point so I bought tickets for Springsteen, which clashes with the Granada game. For added irony, the concert is at the Camp Nou. So I am sitting at the Camp Nou with my ear on the radio, while my team is playing for a title in Granada. So weird.

I'm only saying that 95% of the time we don't sign players before the season's over. It's a long standing club policy. Not saying it's good or not, it's what we do.
-
It is very rare for us to close a transfer deal while the season's not over and there are trophies at play, so I'm inclined to believe the club in this instance. That doesn't mean there isn't interest - our local press have confirmed he's in our list - just that talks are not going to happen yet.
-
The club have denied Ben Arfa is in Barcelona for talks.

f***ing state of him man. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ch9i0y2UkAA8-Xt.jpg Looks like a lesbian. Full denim

Man, I love going to work in days like this.

Says volumes, imho.
-
Confirmed by our press, by the way. Not "in talks", but he's in our sights.
-
Please, make it happen. We need proper backups for our front three.

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/10267810/leicester-to-be-placed-in-top-pot-for-champions-league-draw-if-they-win-premier-league Ah, must have missed that. Good for Leicester, then. Gives them a much bigger chance to qualify.

There's a small component derived from the league ranking, but yeah I'm surprised that Leicester would be top seed right off the bat. Are we sure that's the case?

There's little rivalry between Villarreal and Valencia. Too little story between those two clubs. Heck, when Villarreal was first promoted and became a stable presence in La Liga, it was said Valencia and Villarreal were a "brotherhood", with loads of Valencia players going on loan there. Now, what's happened is that Valencia's fortunes have dwindled while Villarreal have become successful, so that kinda irks Valencia fans. But there isn't a deep rivalry there. If you ask a Valencia fan who are their rivals, he will say Madrid and Barcelona (while we don't give much of a s*** about them). There's also a small local rivalry with Levante, but this also has been hurt by the fact that they have rarely played in the same division. Thought they were bigger rivals. You think Benitez would manage Villareal if the situation was right? I don't think so at the moment. But that's mostly because he's said he wants to stay in England for a while; he reportedly was approached by Valencia before signing for you and turned them down.
-
Speaking of that, how does Leicester's achievement compare to Forest winning the league and the EC? Being Spanish and too young for being around when it happened, I know little of how that went down.

Fair enough, the perception from here is that he was derided, but our media often confuse fan opinion with media opinion.

Nah, Simeone's success has been amazing in its own right, but at the end of the day, they are historically the third club in the land and their budget is "just" half of ours or Madrid's. If he ends up carrying either the league or the CL (or both!) this season, there might be an argument due to sustained success though.
-
We are going to sign Raúl as our manager too.
-
Chuffed for Leicester, such a momentous achievement in this day and age. Also, disgusting amount of Chelsea fans on Facebook claiming how much they loved Ranieri themselves
-
The big sides haven't turned up this season either. As great a run as Leicester had, in a "regular" season that point total most of the time doesn't land you the trophy.
-
So that dude more or less is saying the equivalent of "mate" every three or four words. Ear-screeching.
-
Yeah, it's always a bit sucky when you win the league while you "are away", so to speak. I hope Leicester wrap it at their place. That's the proper way to celebrate.
